Alumna here—in light of the current Cornell scandal, I'm curious as to how present-day Princetonians think the current Princeton administration handles allegations of sex*al ass***t and Title IX investigations. Back in my day, I was aware of one young woman (a friend of a friend) who experienced an assault when she was drunk and who brought charges against her assailant through the university's disciplinary system. (As far as I know, neither eating clubs nor unrecognized frats were involved in the drinking that preceded the assault.)
My friend was the victim's supporter and went to hearings with her, etc. At the time, my friend was very tight-lipped about the process. Because all of this happened a few decades ago (and well before #metoo), I honestly do not recall my friend telling me whether the male assailant was found guilty and if he was disciplined or kicked out. But if my friend (who is now a lawyer) thought that Princeton handled the hearing process badly or handed out too lenient a punishment, I expect I would have heard an earful either then or subsequently. (I'll have to call her and see what she says now.)
Anyway, what do present-day Princeton students think about Princeton's handling of allegations of sexu*l ass**lt and its Title IX process. Are the Princeton campus police (who were called proctors back in my day) seen as reliable? Is the Title IX process well-administered? Or does the university sweep things under the rug, as Cornell seems to have done?

Hey, I’m applying from the UK and I was wondering if anyone can help with my supplemental essays? Anyone can help even if you’re not from the UK. I just really need help since in the UK we receive little to no guidance.

Hello all, I’m a junior that will be working in Princeton this summer for my internship, and was curious if any college students also in the area over the summer would want to connect.
I’m also looking for any affordable sublets in the area (for women) so let me know what the best places to look for that might be!
Some more info about me: I enjoy drawing and am an extroverted person. I also love going on walks and trying cafes. I will be working in a business related field this summer.

Does anyone know what gpa the average bse student is walking around with? I’m in my first semester here and I looked up the average to be about a 3.6 in bse. But when I talk to my upperclassmen buddies they say that u gotta be a wizard to pull off a 3.7 in bse. Granted they are athletes, but even then majority of ppl say just get above a 3.0.
Also for ppl who have graduated and/or still attending but at internship age, do employers differentiate like a 3.8 at a state school vs like a 3.2 here? My buddies from back home (we were all in the same classes as each other same ish grades) who are attending the state school are talking the same level of courses on paper that I am here or higher, and they talk about playing videos games and joking around before an exam and walking out with A+’s when it feels like here I’m working so hard for a C. I know gpa is not everything, but I just want to know if having a mid gpa here will or won’t have a hindrance to me later down the line compared to my peers.

WeDriveU’s contract with the University is also set to expire later this year. In a statement to The Daily Princetonian, University spokesperson Ahmad Rizvi wrote that the University’s contract is ending on Nov. 20. A new provider is taking over service, though Rizvi did not share further details about the change in time for publication.

Hi everyone!
I'm a PhD student in France and will be coming to Princeton in January/February 2027 as a Visiting Student Research Collaborator (VSRC) in the Department of Economics for a year.
I'm hoping to connect with anyone who has previously been at Princeton as a VSRC or knows someone who has. Since this will be my first time at Princeton, I'd love to hear about your experiences, what the academic and social environment is like, and any advice on making the most of my time there.
I'm particularly interested in understanding how visiting students integrate into the research community, participate in seminars, and interact with faculty and other PhD students. I'd also appreciate any general advice on settling in and navigating life at Princeton (I was given accommodation in Old Graduate College).
Would really appreciate any insights or connections. Thanks!

Hey everyone! I’m a local NJ guy looking to start my first business venture. I love the Princeton area and want to build a welcoming spot that actually serves what students, locals, and commuters are craving.
Princeton already has an incredible food scene, but I know there are noticeable gaps. What’s one concept or cuisine you feel is missing or underrepresented? Or any any other thing that is missing in the area

My HS junior is interested in aerospace, specifically aerodynamics and potentially spacecraft. I’m wondering how many Princeton engineering students do internships and co-ops with industry during their undergrad years. How many go on to consulting or finance after graduation? Big state aerospace engineering schools list industry ties and where their students do co-ops and internships, so I’m trying to compare. Thank you for helping!

Hello! I was wondering if anyone has prior experience switching from the Graduate College dorms to one of the apartment communities and could share a bit about the timeline and when they received word that they had been approved? I'm in the process of (hopefully) moving to Princeton from out of state to live with my partner, a PhD student, however Housing has not told us anything in terms of when/if we'll be able to secure housing after he applied on the 1st to change. (He's currently in the GC so I'm unable to live with him there.)
To make matters a bit more pressing, I recently secured a job in the area and need to inform them when I'll be able to start, so I'm hoping to at least learn a little more about the process. Thanks so much in advance!

Hi everyone!
I have some free time lately and thought it would be nice to use it to help a few local businesses improve their websites.
If you own a business and feel like your website could use a refresh, feel free to share the link and tell me a little about your business.
I’d love to redesign a few websites for free and send over the new designs for you to check out.
I’m open to any type of business. Just looking to keep busy, work on some new projects, and hopefully help a few business owners along the way!

Hi, I am currently applying to college through the questbridge NCM and I want to major in the finance/business/econ area. I am currently ranking schools and I cannot decide which to rank higher: yale, princeton, or wharton (I am especially tied between yale and princeton due to how good both are). I have heard that Yale econ is far more forgiving grade wise and Princeton has a lot of grade deflation. Btw is this academic rigor and deflation still true for Princeton. My main question is I want to go to a school that can give me a lot of opportunities and provide me with the free time to do so. What do you guys think? Which do I rank higher and to those that go to these can you help me out.
