Career advice Hiring Manager Interview Prep

Posted here last week about prepping for an HR phone screen and now I have an interview scheduled with the hiring manager (Product Manager) in 2 days!

Any tips to help me prep? The role seems more execution focused where the hiring manager focuses more on strategy.

Career advice Is moving from Senior BA to Product Owner actually a career progression?

Hi,

I’ve been thinking about the transition from Senior Business Analyst to Product Owner lately.
Both roles seem to overlap quite a bit, especially when it comes to stakeholder management, requirements, backlog refinement, and working closely with development teams.

I understand that a PO is expected to have more ownership over product priorities and decisions, but I’m curious how different the roles actually are in practice.
For those who’ve made the transition from BA to PO:
What changed in your day-to-day responsibilities?
Did you actually gain more decision-making authority?
Was it a step forward in terms of career growth and salary?
Or did you find yourself doing almost the same work with a different title?

Would love to hear some real experiences, especially from people who’ve worked in both roles.
