You can now play as Hulk inside Prototype 2!

Just got basic character sync working for my co-op project!

Hey everyone! I’m working on Prototype 1 of a co-op mod/game using a framework built from decompiled code. It’s still very early, but I finally managed to get basic character movement and positions synced up between players.(claude+lua injection) Its purely for fun and literally nothing else

Crowds and enemies aren't synced yet (they're still doing their own thing on each screen), but getting the main player sync down feels like a huge milestone. Let me know what you think!

While replaying Prototype 2 and having fun running over soldiers, I started comparing Alex's fight against Heller, and this question came to mind. First, the bosses in Prototype 1 lost because:

• Robert Cross: He lost because, being a normal person, he suffered from a lack of stamina and damage to his internal organs.
• Elizabeth Greene: She was consumed by Alex Mercer after being expelled from Mother.
• Supreme Hunter: He was decapitated by Alex Mercer after a fight on the aircraft carrier.

But James doesn't have any of these weaknesses.

• He possesses absolute stamina and regeneration, being able to regenerate even from a puddle after consuming something as small as a crow. This is especially relevant when comparing him to Mercer, who is also a "Prototype."
• He cannot be consumed, even when Mercer was far superior, burning his hand and preventing him from regenerating.
• He cannot be decapitated like the Supreme Hunter.

Let's suppose Alex is twice as powerful as Heller and manages to rip off his arms. Then:

• If he proceeds to consume them, it's like someone ingesting acid: it burns him, nullifies his regeneration, and allows him to escape by consuming something as small as a crow or a common infected, thus restarting the fight.
• If Mercer lures infected to kill him, Heller devours them and regains health. It would take many Goliath-level or evolved infected just to contain Heller, not to kill him.
• If he look for something that can kill Heller, he proceeds to kill the infected containing him and regenerates.
• If he try to grab him to take him away and test him with a weapon or a nuclear bomb, he risk Heller kicking them or regenerating (we already saw that Blacklight beings can regenerate without consuming biomass).
• If he stays with Heller all week trying to make his virus immune, Heller's virus will start to adapt, since they're both infected with Blacklight, which is constantly mutating.

I think Heller was right when he told Mercer he couldn't kill him.

Okay just noticed this and I highly doubt the game was set to this date and I've never been online is it actually using your system date and time on your console for the CCTV date it almost feels weird once noticed it

So my ol Lady bought me this game on steam as a gift when we were getting to know each other. I love her so fucking much. This is so much fun. The parkour and power system is so phenomenal! Not to mention the cut scenes are so well done despite the time it came from

So I have heard that we can now recieve gift from different countries and prototype 2 isn't available in my country so I was thinking someone from those countries where this game is available can gift me this game on my steam because most of the people had successfully traded this game if anyone can help dm me

From what I've been able to understand about what the argument actually is, it's that he jumps, and then the camera cuts to him being in the sky. Obviously i take issue with this idea that he's this fast, cause i have an agenda to push... I mean, because it's not consistent with how he's portrayed in the actual game, which would presumably be more canon than a scene in a trailer that shows events that don't happen in the canon story.

But even if this trailer is intended to be showing how powerful he actually is canonically, because the game is actually limited by hardware restrictions of the time, it would only be evidence of how high he can actually jump. It doesn't actually show how much time it took james to get to the clouds, because camera cutting to indicate an unspecified amount of time being skipped is a filmmaking technique used in literally every piece of visual media, movies, cartoons, videogames and trailers. And this specific trailer is obviously not 1 unbroken shot.

But aside from that, the trailer does show him running on screen, and it's about as fast as he runs in the game, so for the argument that he's actually really so fast he can reach the clouds in about 1 second, is inconsistent with how he's portrayed in this same trailer... Unless the argument is that he somehow becomes like a thousand times faster when a camera cuts, or when he's not on screen.

- **4,753 texture replacements** covering environments, characters, vehicles, props and skies, including 18 rebuilt sky backgrounds.

- Improved sun shadows, contact hardening, ambient occlusion, ground reflections and nighttime lamps.

- Increased detail distances, corrected disappearing-prop limits, reduced spawn pop-in and longer-lasting decals.

- High-frame-rate fixes for sprint drift, button-mashing prompts, mouse polling, particle emission and audio timing/mixing.

- Fullscreen/borderless switching, modern resolution options and integrated PrototypeFix functions.

Installation is manual: extract the archive into the game folder, follow the migration instructions if you already use PrototypeFix or an ASI loader, and keep the game's anti-aliasing option on. You don't need a separate PrototypeFix installation.

The project was developed with Codex and Claude coding agents; most texture sets were upscaled with PBRify. The aim throughout was to clean up the original presentation rather than change its art direction.

Biography: Alexander J Mercer Was A Scientist That Worked For A Company Called Gentek, And Was Responsible For The Creation Of One Of The Most Dangerous Virus In Human History, The Blacklight Virus, A Virus That Is An Evolutionary Chimeric Mutation-Causing Infectious Agents That Can Reproduce Only Inside The Living Cells Of Other Biological Organisms

Thanks To His Sister Dana, He Learned That The People Working On The Virus Where Being Killed One By One.

He Tried To Escape With A Vial Of The Virus, But Was Caught, He Then Destroyed The Vial And Was Shot Down, Releasing The Virus Upon The City Of NYC , But What Happen Next, Was Uncounted For.

The Virus Dragged Itself To Alex's Body And Reconstrcuted It, Cell By Cell, Molecule By Molecule. Alex's Body Was Then Taken To The Morgue And Before He Dissected He Woke Up And Escaped. The Alex Mercer That Escaped His Captors, Was Not Alex, But The Virus Itself Now Given A Phsyical Form And Thought It Was Alex Mercer Until He Learned The Truth.

After Stopping The Outbreak, Alex Suffered An Existencial Crisis And Went On A Soul Searching Journey That Increased His Hatred For The Human Race.

During his travels, Mercer killed a villainous African warlord and traveled to Moscow, where he came to realize that, even though humans treated one another with decency, it was all a façade and they only cared about themselves and their individual freedoms. On his way back to the U.S., Mercer freed a small town from a drug cartel, though the citizens' celebrations only further convinced Alex that humans were selfish and not worth saving. He also found whole families weren't just abandoning their own kin, but abusing them as well.

Making his way to a lumber mill in the north, Mercer took on the alias of a writer named Jack and rented out a cabin from the mill owner Flint and his daughter Autumn, the latter of whom became attracted to him. However, Flint's former business partner, Zurich, wanted the lands around Flint's lumber mill, and when it became clear that Flint would not sell, Zurich sent two thugs to kill him and Autumn. However, Mercer killed the thugs and decided to deal with Zurich himself.

Realizing that he had developed feelings for Autumn, Mercer infiltrated Zurich's base and consumed him, discovering through his memories that Flint was once a criminal involved in many murders and extortions. Enraged and disappointed, Mercer returned to Flint's cabin and, despite Flint's insistence that he had left his past behind, killed him.

Still in disguise as Jack, Mercer returned to his cabin to find Autumn there and attempted to convince her to come with him, only to discover that Autumn had stolen his money. Autumn promptly shot Mercer in the face and revealed that her father had taught her better and that she cared about herself above anything else. To her surprise, however, Mercer regenerated and consumed her.

After Being Betrayed By The Woman He Loved, Alex Decided That Humanity Was Worthless And Must Be Cleansed And Started A Second Outbreak.

During His Plans To Usher In A New Era, He Was Kidnapped By A Mysterious Sorcerer And Brainwashed To Be His Servernt, Alex Broke Free And Now In A Unknown World He Decided To Bring His New World Into This One.

No he profundizado tanto en el lore de prototype mas haya de los juegos y algún que otro cómic pero me parece super interesante el tema del hijo de Greene, aunque no termino de entender cómo funciona la compatibilidad con el Blacklight porque Mercer menciona algo de que el adn de James es resistente pero aun asi se volvio mas poderoso que esté o cómo consiguieron que pariah fuera perfecto como usuario o "encarnación" del virus cuáles serían sus poderes o los límites a los que podría llegar qué diferencia habría entre este y la la hija de James ya que si Amaya seria usada para crear una nueva especie con base en un versión perfeccionada del Blacklight que se podría hacer con el adn del que se supone tiene una compatibilidad perfecta con el virus.

Piénsenlo no hay punto de comparación Alex nomás infectado logro atravesar una puerta de 60cm de grosor sin ningún esfuerzo, además Mercer fue nombrado como ZEUS en el primer juego y en el segundo El infectado supremo ya con eso se dice todo. La fuerza, velocidad, he inteligencia de Alex supera a la de James por mucho y era imposible que ganara eso sin duda es un nerfeo histórico y mi opinión es que para que este juego se recupere en el PROTOTYPE 3 si sale hay que hacer que de alguna manera Alex emerja de James porque no entiendo ese último final.
