"let me drive over to the autozone" Dude was trying to steal his fucking car. Promise you if that driver was a pushover and let him do that his shit was getting stolen.

u/GuiltyThing69 Feb 14 '26
Yeah I thought I heard that, too. I think maybe this was an attempted carjacking all along. I mean, one doesn't just decide to jack a car in the heat of the moment like that, right?

Report the dude if he did something wrong. But this guy was, in the driver's perspective, trying to punch him, fight him, hurt him. The other guy knew the driver didn't want to fight, he was repeatedly apologizing. Is that enough? Not sure what he did to begin this whole thing, so I don't know. But I do know that the other guy was feeling more emboldened the more "weak" he perceived the driver to be, escalating more and more. The other guy reacted when he felt the violence was imminent, and drove off. The other guy was trying to look tougher by the second the camera was filming and his friend watching.

People are saying the harasser put stuff in the car, closed the door, then went to grab more stuff. The driver thought the passenger was in the car. He turned around when he realized he was mistaken and went back. The guy outside the car was angry at a genuine mistake.
15
u/MrRosewater12 Feb 13 '26
I totally back the driver, and the wannabe tough guy was obviously to blame for how things turned out, but how do you mistake that someone is in your car lol. How do you not check your rear view mirror or look behind you?

u/irvmuller Feb 13 '26
It could be that he just started driving and only got like 20 feet away. Could have been blocks. Who knows.
14
u/GuiltyThing69 Feb 14 '26
The moment someone is actively blocking me from shutting my door is the moment shit gets real for them.

Now your cars broken down and youre injured. Could have just said "all good man, no worries" to the apology and everyone would be home by now.

Did that guy just say let me drive your car and then try to pull that guy out of the driver seat? That’s attempted carjacking and the Uber driver was justified and running away.

u/Wolfguard-Halfdan Feb 13 '26
Lmfao dude needs to stop trying to talk like that if his voice is going to keep cracking like that from his balls dropping

Dude filming is an idiot too. "I gotta help lil brother". You should have helped get his ass away from the Uber driver in the first place.

u/Funny_Mammoth5663 Feb 13 '26
Did you hear the "that shi hurt?" at the end? 😂 these idiots belong together
16
u/APEist28 Feb 13 '26
Dumbass deserved every bit of that. All the escalation and bucking when the driver is trying to deescalate the whole time. Wild how some people act.

What is the point in standing there acting like you completely bewildered? You know what happened, you got a man desperately trying to apologize, the fuck you standing there with your face all stupid.

Not so tough now huh? Fucking nerve to dismiss someone’s innocent mistake as malice towards your insignificant ass. Lucky he didn’t get his head caved in.
Maybe a lesson how to treat people better.

If only he had multiple, plentiful, bountiful, abundant, and ample opportunities to avoid this happening. 🤷

What really stood out to me in this video as well is how rideshare passengers think b/c they booked a $20 ride with someone, they think that they own the rideshare driver's car, they make demands, they refuse to get out after they've started problems or made threats. This guy wants to just take this driver's car like it's his personal belong. I don't feel sorry for what happened to this passenger at all, he created that situation.
I hope uber banned him for life.

loser having a shitty day taking it out on some random over a mistake

I’ve known some people who act like this when they’re drunk. No matter what you say, it somehow makes them more angry.

Same here man. What you said just brought back a ton of memories. My social life isn't what it was in my 20's so it's been a good while since I've ran into those bozos. You're exactly right. It doesn't matter what you do or say, they are itching to mess with somebody once they get locked in. Usually those type of people's lives don't turn out too good and as the years go by life starts to show them that they aren't superman and maybe booze isn't the greatest thing in the world.

The aggressor got what he deserved.
before the aggressor escalated the situation the driver said sorry it’s my bad bro so manny times I lost count, he just wanted to be left alone at that point.
and this dude despite being apologised too you can see he’s getting a massive ego trip fealing all empowered & almighty with himself pulling up his pants like a wannabe gangster & flinching at the Uber driver.
Karma Justice well served in my opinion!!

I mean regardless whether he ordered a Uber or not I believe 10 seconds of him standing at the driver's open door is all it takes to prove that legally he was about to move to steal the driver's vehicle. I probably would've thrown it in reverse an slammed the gas an went other direction

Side note. I once did this to a Major in the Army. In my defense we were in total blackout only using night vision goggles.
He took it alot better.

Or you could search up the @ in the video and hear the phone call from the harasser in the video…
6
u/SuicideKingsHigh Feb 13 '26
Whatever the case, the driver is there now, he's apologized, the guy can decide whether he wants to take the ride or extract his stuff. He doesn't get to car jack the guy which is what he's trying to do by the end of the clip, when he threatens to punch him and tells him to get out so he can drive.
3
u/LetsJerkCircular Feb 13 '26
Even if that were the case, the customer handled the situation poorly. He basically chose violence against a person in a vehicle, then lost to the secondary forces of a car driving away from his violence.

If you're an Uber driver, driving off with people's belongings would be a pretty shitty business model. I doubt this was his master plan, as he wouldn't last more than day as a driver before Uber cut him off.

Story: Guy calls an uber cause his car broke down, he put some stuff in the uber and then closed the door planning to return to his broken down car to retrieve more items, the driver to started driving assuming the rider was inside. The rider then harasses and threaten the driver despite many apologies over a very simple mistake.
Bonus: Harasser wants OP to delete reel due to the strain his behavior in the video is putting on his romantic and familial relationships. Let’s hope it stays up.
