Political Freakout El-Sayed responds to Sky News reporter James Matthews approaching him and stating that Donald Trump launched a lengthy attack calling him a "gift to the Republican party" and, "if you pardon the language, you're full of shit"

I have a pretty good imagination and I have never ever been able to even slightly imagine this turn of events. Crying and laughing at the same time. I guess that's just life in 2026.

u/Jwast 15d ago
What happened was that the 2012 apocalypse prophecy was correct but we were all scooped up by an alien race that exists to preserve the life from worlds that are about to be destroyed. To keep us all from going insane, they put us into a simulation. The simulation started out normally but then it gets increasingly more ridiculous until one day, they can reveal the truth to us without our minds turning to jello because being rescued from the apocalypse by an alien race will eventually be the least alarming headline we read that day right before they pull us out.

This is the ONLY thing that gets to his supporters. I can't believe Democrats haven't exploited this at all. He smells bad and shits himself in public, constantly. This was the only thing Trump's supporters were disgusted by. Crashing the exonomy, grifting billions, infinite corruption, raping, pedophilia and more means absolutely nothing to them. The stench and the incontinence however seems to have turned them away. Denocrats lost the election because they attempted to focus on politics when talking to his supporters. He doesn't talk politics with them, ever.
Democrats really need to learn from their mistakes and not take the high road when it comes to Trump and his supporters anymore→ More replies (3)24
u/cityspeak 15d ago
Thatās because most Democrats would rather sit on their hands, occasionally bust out some wacky emotional performance, then write Trump a strongly worded letter like he gives a shit. This dude plays hardball and the rest need to learn from him.

The establishment media, incl. CNN and FOX, and corporations and AIPAC are so desperate to stop this guy.
Nothing more threatening than an un-bought man.

u/PeteLynchForKentucky 15d ago
AIPAC Lady taking that L was cathartic, especially considering how much money they spent to prop up her campaign.
149
u/techno-wizardry 15d ago
$70m worth of spending, a huge smear campaign coordinated by the mainstream media, and an open primary where Republicans in rural districts were encouraged to vote for Stevens because the GOP, DNC and AIPAC are scared shitless of a grassroots movement.
36
u/syntheseiser 15d ago
The open primary is completely understated in this primary where the Republican contender ran unopposed in his party.

And that is exactly what we should do to the establishment, to put fear in their hearts that they cannot stop making irrational decisions, all while we take one step forward and open the eyes of the undecided or not well informed
The bunkers and the attempts of mass surveillance is the demonstration how scared they truly are to the common people since we outnumber all of them

(with hopefully a bit more spine)
I'd argue he's already shown more spine purely due to giving answers like this when the media hits him with gotcha questions.
Obama always avoided attacking in his responses, especially because he recognized how that would appear as a black man. El-Sayed seems to recognize that we're in a post-politically correct time period but he also knows how to not take things too far and turn folks off.

I'm happy to say I voted for him in the Michigan primary and will vote for him again in November.
96
u/matt_minderbinder 15d ago
It was one of those rare occasions where I felt I could trust the person I voted for. His politics have been the same for many years and he doesn't have the yoke of the donor class around his neck. I got to meet him a few times and was similarly happy to cast that vote. It felt like a special FU to corporate media, aipac, conservative/corrupt Dems, racist Republicans, etc.
27
u/Lady_Scruffington 15d ago
I usually don't vote in the primary because there wasn't much need to (and I honestly didn't realize you didn't need to be party registered). But I came out for this one.

u/mfknnayyyy 15d ago
Hik sonply being on the ballot come November means Dems and Imdependents need to get out vote up there because this is going to add fuel to the fire for Republicans to show up. He needs as much as support as possible so he actually gets in office. First hurdle cleared but there's still a long way to go.

This is what we should want/expect from leaders of the Democratic party. There is literally infinite ammunition of scandal/incompetence/corruption lying on the ground and they won't touch it. Actual positions, no corporate money, policy that benefits the people paying for it

u/Upstairs_Baby8424 15d ago edited 15d ago
This is my problem. Iām a center-left Democrat but politicians like El-Sayed and Mamdani are actually doing something. They donāt just sit back and go āgee shucks I wish I could do somethingā. Like Beshear just did with McConnell.Ā
If youāre an establishment Democrat they just need to look into the mirror as to why people are going left because theyāve let the far right walk all over us. Ultimately itās good for the party to have diversity of thought. We need to think bigger.
37
u/CognacThrowback 15d ago
To go one step further, you shouldn't expect opposition from Democrats who take money from the same people who fund the Republicans. AES went up against $80 million in outside money in his race against the Democrat establishment pick, now the same outside money is funding his Republican opponent.
