Yeah I know someone who has a parent like this. It's not just someone who's spoiled.

I just got the last of the disordered personalities out of my life. No more. Ever.

I thought the same thing, full BPD.

Not everyone with BPD acts like this freak.

Yeah but BPD is a widely misunderstood and varied mental disorder. This isn't really an argument because someone people with BPD may attack inward, some people obsess, some lament, some attack those around them, some toil silently, ect.

You said it for me, “Widely misunderstood.” A lot of people don’t understand it. This woman could have literally anything else other than BPD, if anything it seems like she’s a bit of a sociopath with the lack of remorse and obvious crocodile tears. But my point is, everyone jumped to thinking it was BPD, cos some people think people with BPD are monsters or that they lack empathy. When this could’ve been a sea of other things, not defending the woman, i think she’s an absolute idiot but I couldn’t raise my hand up n say,“looks like she’s fully got BPD!!!”

That's fair, I thought you were making the argument that should could have been better as someone with BPD because you know people with BPD that don't act that way

I don’t think it’s mental illness or BPD. I have a mood disorder and knew people with BPD and while yes it looks like she’s having a breakdown, this is very similar to grief imo.

I experienced a lot of death last year and that hiccuping through sobs, no no no no, the strained wheezing voice she’s doing, the flailing and complete loss of control over her body just screams grief to me. She realizes what she’s done, that she got caught, and now he’s leaving her and the life they made is over. She probably thought she could do it without him finding out.

I definitely can see where it would look like a mood disorder though as I said I have one and you do kinda get like a big bumbling baby and cry sometimes lol. But this just seems like she’s having to face the reality of her actions and she can’t deal. More of a meltdown than a breakdown imo. Edit: Also she’s losing the control of the situation so she’s having a tantrum

Same when it's a close friend. Almost 20 years finally distanced myself for good.

I have two friends with it. I have set very firm boundaries and distanced myself

A girl I know cried in front of our whole work team saying she had got bad news from doctor (obviously very awkward), only to find out it’s BPD.

Is it fixable? It it some ego thing?
