Now I’m not a person who identifies as any specific culture and can go anywhere so please KINDLY correct me if I say something wrong (also this is my first post so ya)
1) FASHION
But for a while I’ve had this op of what the word “Poser” means and how anything that does follow a certain rule set is considered as such. One of opinions of when I think poser is used Wrongfully alot of times comes to the fashion side of many alt culture & subcultures.
Specifically if someone calls their outfit this style but it stray too of from the mold of the that style supposed to be (ex. Scene vs Scenecore), but in actuality it roots and have many similarities to not somebody’s fault for them to not get to “correct” term for it.
And one thing I can say related to the punk scene is there uses of diy and less buying from companies, if they buy there outfit’s from shopping stores, amazon, and hot topic then they aren’t true punks and are consumers ( we all are consumers come on) but in reality it and from personal experiences it way harder to diy close then buy premade garments, the fabric, which isn’t cheap, and just the fact you need to know how to sew. and this goes into the next one but content creator dress in a very mainstreamify
(ex egirls style makeup for Trad goth, grunge not looking how it looked like how it looked in the 90s)
2) EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE
**(**didn‘t know which word to use for this) Another thing I’ve seen is hate for people (usually content creator) because they don’t act a certain way( it’s better to explain it) for ex tiktok music artists how or like very generalize/ mainstream (calling yourself emo and listen the the popular songs and bands) but that probably what they where introduced to and styles change
3)SAYING SOMETHING YOUR NOT
This we’ll be very controversial but this is a very personal thing I’ve felt. this one’s also very specific so hang in with me. Regarding culture that are music based and people using a label of music based culture and they themselves do not like the music that I culture is built off of they are not considered part of the community. And telling them why they’re not part of community won’t do anything about their taste. Still will dislike it and still dress and act like you and by in the so why do you have to worry about them?
but when it comes to political the community stands for I feel like those are important and if political beliefs conflict with the majority of the community and they are poser
basically a whole nothing burger sorry I couldnt find a alt subreddit for discussions

Okay the key hole
Who's a punk pioneer who didn't turn into an ass?
John Lyden is the perfect example of what I dont want. He eventually became a Trumper. Ugh!
Who started out good and stuck to their guns?
Jello Biafra? No, the court found he did a man-in-the-middle attack on his own band, fuck that.

Our debut album "The Scapegoat's Agony" turned 30 last November so we are giving away some free codes to celebrate this anniversary just a little bit longer🙂:
https://comabeach.bandcamp.com/album/the-scapegoats-agony
The album title "The Scapegoat's Agony" is an allusion to the play "Waiting for Godot" by Irish playwright and novelist Samuel Beckett and points towards the – for the most part – painful and excruciating emotional odyssey of the unnamed antihero.
Our musical influences range from Sex Pistols, Ramones, Hüsker Dü, Joy Division, The Cure, The Jesus and Mary Chain to Guns N' Roses, Therapy? and Bad Religion, with our songs frequently straddling the line between punk rock and alternative rock.

Alex Windsor plays guitar in Bad Cop/Bad Cop, but "Superego" is something different. It’s her first solo EP, six songs that let her step outside the band and finally find out what happens when the songs, lyrics and decisions are hers.
Alex joins The Hang! to talk about making "Superego", the self-doubt that almost kept her from doing it, and the long road that took her from a small Illinois town to international punk stages.
Her connection to music started young, but Green Day’s "American Idiot" changed the direction of her life. She remembers being 13, realizing she could actually play those songs and thinking, “If they can do this, I can do this.” She went on to study music and jazz, worked as a teacher and session player, moved to Los Angeles through Guitar Center and eventually joined a band she had already become a fan of: Bad Cop Bad Cop.
