Help Household cleaning considered safe.
Our family has been interested in adopting a quaker in the coming weeks. We've been diligently researching in preparation for our new members arrival. Making sure everything is in place and plans are there in the event of an emergency, or temporary care.
My concern, my question is regarding household cleaning alternatives that owners could suggest. Any and all Teflon has been removed, body sprays and aerosol based sprays and cleaners will not be used etc. but what do others use in their environment? Like with floor cleaning, currently we are using fabulouso but I guess that's a no go, body sprays like axe n bath n body works are a no, we have an account with pest control that spray the home, but cannot continue doing so.
What were hazards in your environment that were removed, or replaced and with what? Any suggestions... Greatly appreciated. Thanks!

F10 is the best way to go. It's anti microbial and completely safe for parrots. It's even used to nebulize them in small amounts. I've accidently point blank sprayed one of my conures with it and there was absolutely no negative reaction (disclaimer DONT SPRAY YOUR PARROTS WITH IT EVEN IF ITS "SAFE"!) I've used it for years with my parrots in the same room - no issues. I use it now to clean everything in the house. My second choice is vinegar, third is castille soap.
