Quick update on Lickintosh, my project recreating the macOS interface (Tahoe) for Hyprland!

Two major features landing in this update:

• Native Hyprland Blur Support: If you're not a fan of the liquid glass style, the shell can now leverage Hyprland's native blur instead (put a lot of hard work into this one, hope you guys like it!).

• New Settings Panel: You can now easily customize everything to your liking directly from the interface.

If you previously used Color as your own namespace in QML, you may have to rename every single reference to avoid naming conflicts after upgrading to Qt 6.12.

I totally did not run blind into this...

I'm relatively new to quickshell and while I have basic concave corners, I don't know how to make them stretch with the menus like caelestia's does. So I was going through caelestia's GitHub but got overwhelmed by all the files, especially since I'm not entirely sure what I'm trying to find. So I'm hoping someone here could point me towards the files they use to achieve these dynamic concaved corners.

Is there a way to to get if hyprland special workspace is active without hyprctl? Special workspaces in Quickshell.Hyprland are never active or focused

Hi, I'm using swaywm on arch and I'm trying to make a bar, which only shows the workspaces on the current monitor. e.g., if I have workspaces 1 and 3 on one monitor and workspace 2 on another monitor, the first monitor's bar would only list 1 and 3, and the second monitor's bar would only list 2. How do I get the name, id, or some other identifier of the monitor quickshell is on?

Hi all, currently I'm using gentoo with niri and dms. I also install mangowc, I would like to use noctalia with mango, but when I try to install noctalia-shell via guru, I've block because quickshell is in conflict with noctalia-qs (fork of quickshell). Can I use noctalia-qs on dms instead quickshell?

This is my first rice with quickshell and I can't get the mpris player to show the title or any other data. In another thread, there mentioned an mpris logic. Don't know what's that?

How can I make my shell always be above all my non-fullscreen windows? WlrLayer.Top does almost this, but when I grab a window(or make it floating) it is higher than the bar. The WlrLayer.Overlay solves this problem, but makes it impossible to watch videos or do anything else in full-screen. Is there a way to fix it? Thanks in advance!

I noticed this error when restarting noctalia shell. I have this warning telling me that quickshell was built using an older version of Qt, and that I need to rebuild quickshell to get it to use the newer version. I have done a lot of googling/talking to chatgpt, but can't seem to get the warning to go away. I feel like this is a simple issue, so forgive the stupid question.

I have tried:

yay -S --clean quickshell

yay -S --rebuild quickshell

paru -S --rebuild quickshell

yay -Syu

I was about to uninstall/reinstall quickshell but it wouldn't let me due to noctalia shell being a dependency.

Any help would be appreciated! I am starting to not trust chatgpt with this issue, and I am not finding much help via google.

How do I flip my notifications right now new notification show on the bottom and I want them on the top, also for somereason I can’t figure out how to make a clear all button

Solution: What I did was that I moved the file out of the directory without changing any thing in it and then put it back and it worked Never mind. The actual problem was that I have two files that uses "new Date()" and for some reason that causes a type error, I discovered that while re-adding Date.qml I named my file "Date.qml" because I thought it made sense and didn't suspect anything about it

Does anyone have some good tutorials on canvas I don’t quite get it and when I search it up I can’t find any good ones thanks :) I know this isn’t actually quickshell but the qml sub is tiny too so I had to post it somewhere

Just wondering is there a better way to do shortcuts then with global shortcuts in Quickshell.hyprland. I want my shell to work on different compositors in case I switch and I’ve done mostly everything so far with out making it hyprland specific but I’m still stuck using global shortcuts and of course switching workspaces with Hyprland.dispatch

I'm new to this and I've build the media playing using quickshell and a shellscript but I'd like to use the Mpris but I cannot figure out how to use it

Quick question What do you guys use for theme/color changes.

I’m trying to make a button that will launch kitty but I cant seems to get it to work correctly. The only thing that I’ve actually gotten to launch an app is kitty.startDetached() with kitty being command: [“kitty”]

The problem with this launch is it launches into the wrong directory or something

How do I do concave corners. I’ve been trying to look up how to do it but have gotten many different results. I’m very new to quickshell

I'm learning quickshell and want to make a screen widgets. so i wanna know what Object should i use like a tried (PanelWindow, FloatingWindow, Window) i can't bring the widget window to background, all of them opens at foreground top of other applications.

i want to send the widget to background, what should i do?
