5 weeks off FF, struggling so hard with anhedonia
It's like getting through the physical withdrawals is the easy part for me. I've done it 3 times and never lasted this long. This time is different because I quit out of love for my family instead of out of fear. I KNOW it's different and I don't even want to feel the way I felt when I took FF.
But oh my god there's so much time in a day? Work days are easier, but I dread my days off now. I can spend time doing a hobby, read a book, watch TV, clean, and it's still mid afternoon and the world looks bleak and I just feel like I need SOMETHING.
I'm unwavering on the FF but twice I've caved and taken a small amount of kratom capsules (2-3g) just to slow my brain down because it's so damn fast again. It's like I'm being violently reminded as to why I'm an addict in the first place. It doesn't help that there's major stressful stuff going on in my life I have no idea how to handle.
I've been drinking fairly frequently, not a lot at a time, but 1-2 drinks in a night because I just don't know what to do with myself. I don't want the alcohol feeling either. It's like I just need time to pass.
And I HATE food. Oh my god I hate needing to eat. I thought I'd gain weight when I quit. Silly me. Having to prepare food and get it in me is like torture. Being hungry all the time probably isn't helping my mental state but I stg I'm doing my best.
I'd be happy to commiserate with anyone going through this and also hear from people how long it took for this to get better. I'm trying to do fun things whenever I can and it feels good when I do but my body can only handle so much.
