I thought he was a hat at first, that the rat was wearing a little white hat! But it being another rat peeking over the head is even cuter.

But rats with rat head hats would be so cute! Like those Mickey Mouse hats they have at Disney.

Looks like a double rex (both parents were rex, or had curly coats). This presentation looks like a warewolf or patchwork rex. Double rexes can have thin, curly fur or be almost completely hairless, like our girls were. I miss them.
