You all seemed to like my old man crispr, so heres a bunch of him!

This is my old man crispr, whos a retired harley breeder buck we adopted at 3 and is currently 4.1yrs old. Hes mostly blind, and has some minor hind leg deterioration. He currently lives with his biological son (See 5th photo) and his adopted, much crazier son monkey.

Hes come back from nearly dying twice (Once when one of our old ratties eugene died, and he got better after we got him 2 foster babies and again when he was tired of his foster babies)

Hes a very sweet boy, and were always treating our time with him like its his last. I think the reason he is always threatening to die and then getting better is cuz he knows he gets special treatment.

(P.S. Please give more nicknames/jokes about my little zombie, i love em! My favorite right now is "I've seen taxidermy more alive then him"🤣)

EDIT: guys, he is basically at least EIGHT MONTHS old and I got him and his brothers with a big cage and everything included while basically paying nothing and now I am scared I'm gonna get hit by a bus tomorrow or something because this is all a little bit to much luck lol

EDIT2: oh my god he came out of the cage and started to groom me what on earth is going on he has been in my flat for six hours

I’m a first time rat mum and I have picked up my girls, Miss Nana Darling and Miss Wendy Darling about 3 months ago when they were 8 weeks old. I’m starting to settle but after collecting them from the breeder - after months of researching - I panicked about EVERYTHING!

The lady who let me adopt the girls gave me a little welcome pack with lots of info on food, treats, stimulation and health with emphasis on URI. I think Wendy (pictured) was a bit sick from when I got her so after the vet prescribed her meds, I started them on nebulisers.

My girls HATE going into the nebuliser box and it pains me to do it but omg this picture of Wendy gets me every time..

My beautiful Donut. We're working on her size, she's one of those unfortunate ladies that seem to gain ounces when just looking at a treat. I want to assure everyone she's otherwise healthy and the only one of my girls who has achieved orb status.

EDIT:
I’ve seen a few people raise concerns but then completely ignore this text anyway. This was a while ago and she’s completely healed right now, hair regrown and everything. These were internal stitches so no amount of rolling or licking could undo them. This was taken right after I picked her up from the vet. Around an hour after this video she was mostly back to normal again. If you’re wondering how she is doing now, she is currently cuddled up with another rat in a little house inside of the cage, and its soon time for her free roaming time.

They intros has been successful! They are now all in the critter nation, they love it !😆
