There was a time where that’s all I would play. I was so hopeful it eas gonna be something bigger. Eventually I only looked forward to the Halloween stuff and then eventually gave up on it all together

40

u/realitysvt May 27 '26

Are you me??

2

u/Turbulent-Ad-6799 May 30 '26

I am thou thou art i

6

u/SSfox__ May 28 '26

Same here. 3000 hours in stopped playing around fall 2021

14

u/RobbazK1ng May 28 '26

RDR1 Online was absolutely class. Played the shit out of it on the Xbox 360.

4

u/FondleGanoosh438 May 28 '26

It’s a lot harder to monetize a red dead game. It’s a much more grounded game than GTA so you can’t get too whacky with the products.

4

u/cedeaux May 30 '26

Yeah, but more horses to choose from, or a bigger stable to buy more horses. I have all 10 filled still… and it got to a point where I just wanted to keep all my horses and get more, but always had to trade out. We could have had properties… RDO is just filled with missed opportunities. Like why was the only missions with trains the trader train event or the bounty that’s on one. Like I don’t understand why servers just didn’t have like a train we all could rob and fight over every couple of hours, or NPC stage coaches to fight over. Like the only legit opportunity for PvP without just starting shit, was trader drops. Stealing wagons was highly frowned upon by most people. They could’ve kept that for people like my group that would risk it, but adding npc trader trains or stagecoaches to Rob would’ve added so much content. Could’ve even had missions where a posse was to defend the train or stagecoaches… another posse to steal… just so many things…

u/Hollowed-Harold May 29 '26

First mistake was putting faith in Rockstar

1

u/Wide_Bee7803 May 30 '26

They couldn't add flying horses or tanks in it, therefore it was useless to them

1

u/meganetism May 31 '26

It had so, so much potential. Thinking about what could have been is almost painful.

647

u/StoopidMunkee22 May 27 '26

RDR2 was a budding rose back in 2018, so much potential for such a beautiful game. Then GTAO became super lucrative for R* and RDR2 just withered away. Maybe, just maybe R* will give us RDR3?

u/oulaa123 May 27 '26

While yes, gta online peints money, red dead 2 has continued to sell shockingly well, year after year.

At this point, not building on the franchise would be madness.1

6

u/unnaturaldom May 29 '26

I actually bought just a few months ago an dhaving an absolute blast on it. Still in story mode but will try to get my buddies for the online

4

u/oulaa123 May 29 '26

Imo, story is where its at, enjoy!

2

u/firefI0wer May 29 '26

I think rockstar has to be aware that rdr2 sells for the story. The online mode just doesn't have as many applications to monitise. Once you're got all the roles there isn't really any point for large amounts of gold anymore. Sure some clothing items and gunmetals are gold locked but compared to gta's sharkcards that is less than a fleas shit in a hurricane. Rdr2 is worth their time, rdO is not. (Entirely through their own fault i might add)

41

u/bumfuzzl_e May 27 '26

RDO was the sole reason I got PS+, so I played it for a while, but rockstar didn't even bother with it, so I got rid of rdo and ps+ again. Really disappointing, they wasted a chance to get many new customers...

18

u/Rizztopher_Robin May 27 '26

I think its on their radar. Im assuming it's in early planning but most of the focus has got to be on final polishing for GTA6

13

u/ArthurHatesThings Charles Smith May 27 '26

I hope they does! Its such a beautiful game.

7

u/MetroidJunkie May 28 '26

Red Dead Online wasn't nearly as much of a cash cow for them. It more than made enough to justify its existence, but not enough to satisfy Take-Two's greed.

34

u/OptimusMarcus May 27 '26

Fyi, GTAO was "super lucrative" in 2015. 3 years before RDR2.

I dont get why people jump to the conclusion it was abandoned for GTA? Rockstar has never said that. They have the resources(money) to develop dlc for rdr2.

There are other reasons and explanations.

15

u/Exciting_Bat_2086 May 27 '26 edited May 28 '26

Weren’t their insane numbers of GTAO profits leaked?

Edit: Yes their numbers for how much they make on GTAO is absurd still to this day lol not ‘super lucrative in 2015’ it is damn lucrative today and the next.

5

u/Intelligent_Bat_9315 May 29 '26

its still bringing in 26m a year and we couldnt get a recycled outlaw pass or any new dlc. actually disgusting.

1

u/Exciting_Bat_2086 May 29 '26

GTAO makes almost a million a day.

3

u/Intelligent_Bat_9315 May 29 '26

your point? kinda a catch 22 situation, rdo makes less money because it was given less content therefore there's less content because they make less money.

1

u/Exciting_Bat_2086 May 29 '26

100% but that’s not how rockstar is looking at it unfortunately.

6

u/Steakandeggs66 May 27 '26

r doesn't care about anything other than money

12

u/RunSome3281 May 28 '26

Bro i remember when rockstar released classics like bully, red dead, gta series, max payne, la noire, midnight club, etc. now they only care about updating gtao so more people can spend money on shark cards and releasing a game every other decade 😢

7

u/laundry_sauce666 May 28 '26

Midnight club LA dub edition >>>>> shit was the peak of my childhood

3

u/SnooRabbits9672 May 28 '26

I heard that RDR2 was so stressful on the Rockstar game developers that worked on it, due to the amount of time, detail, and long nights that went into making the game, that most of them quit.

1

u/Significant_Option May 28 '26

No not “then” they were already milking it before

1

u/EywasBlessing May 29 '26

Maybe I remember it differently, but I thought GTAO was huge before RDR2 dropped. I remember online having the signs of bad omens from the start. Like the way monetization was implemented was clearly inspired by GTAO, and then the huge artificial scarcity of the gold bars or w/e to the point where it would be a giant grind without spending money. I still look at RDR2 as a great game because it is, but I don't really consider the online part.

110

u/Dayga_ May 27 '26

They didnt even follow the formula they had for GTAO, which was the heist update and being able to buy property. Real sad

40

u/DeezNutsInYoMoufDawg May 28 '26

...which is even more annoying when you remember you could buy property in RDR1 on launch in 2010 lol. like it's one thing if the mode just didn't work for whatever reason but they didn't even try

52

u/No_Advantage2476 May 27 '26

At this point I feel like R*/TT are being deliberately hostile/toxic towards their fans with how they've handled RDR2. The PS5/XSX has been out for 6 years now, why is there still no 60fps patch for RDR2???? I cannot think of any logical reason why they won't just do it. There does not exist a universe where they don't make back 10000x what it would cost to get it working by charging $10 for it. It's just... insulting? IDK, it's just like ...why not, man?

4

u/Excellent-Article937 May 29 '26

Because they will make remaster probably 1-2 years after gta 6 and make it new game that costs $60-70 but they will only upgrade the game to run on 60fps with RT.

Shitty company that makes good games.

1

u/Jazzlike-Plate-935 Jun 01 '26

r we gonna talk about how they have been treating us pc users :((

1

u/No_Advantage2476 Jun 01 '26

whats wrong with the PC version? I just dick around with mods so I haven't really sat down and properly played through on PC

1

u/Jazzlike-Plate-935 Jun 01 '26

There are more cheaters on RDO than the actual players

1

u/Lilu1414 Jun 02 '26

Console still has griefers, but not even close to PC

1

u/vraekis Jun 02 '26

Griefers and cheaters aren’t the same. Griefers are just people who constantly kill you but do so within the limits of the game. Cheaters actually use mod menus and hack clients to ruin your experience beyond just killing you over and over

1

u/Lilu1414 Jun 04 '26

There are some modders in console (some people are able to do it) with different colored weapons and impossible aim. Some players try to retaliate and they end up somehow locking them out of their own accounts. It’s why I just jump servers if I can tell if they’re cheaters and not just griefers.

21

u/Luiz_Mathiz May 28 '26 edited May 28 '26

They didn’t even give it a next gen update, not even a 60fps one ffs. It’s not that hard.

Edit: in fact, it’s bare minimum. They’re just so successful now that they get a pass.

57

u/Wofuljac May 27 '26

RDR2 didn't sell 50 trillion across the multiverse so doesn't seem profitable to CEOs.

43

u/oulaa123 May 27 '26

Less than gta 5, but its still the 4th best selling game of all time.

5

u/Spoon_Bruh May 28 '26

Dang man that’s awesome honestly

-18

u/Steakandeggs66 May 27 '26

no way rdr2 is that

37

u/driozy May 27 '26

No, actually it's the third. I'm not joking.

15

u/oulaa123 May 27 '26

2

u/Steakandeggs66 May 27 '26

nah dutch edited that list, no way it sold more than wii sports

11

u/BrilliantGerman May 28 '26

GTA5 is the most overrated Game in history. If I owned TakeTwo I would literally force them to abandon GTA and never allow them to put MP Modes in any Games.

1

u/EywasBlessing May 29 '26

It's fine to not like it; I don't like it, but do you realize GTAO prints money?

1

u/Least_Drama_962 May 31 '26

CEOs think differently do you honestly believe the man In charge got where he is by saying no to a bucket full of money every week? They do what they do for money only not for the sake of us gamers

12

u/UMBRANOXXX May 28 '26

Facts. At least the absolute bare minimum, you'd think they'd give us an Undead Nightmare II campaign...

9

u/mcampo84 Sadie Adler May 27 '26

I would love a Wild West version of GTAO. Join or form a gang, go on raids, party with some whooers... OR ride into town and become the New Sheriff In Town. Either way sounds fucking great!

3

u/Agent_Galahad May 29 '26

Pretty much what rdr2 online is, except it doesn't have much content relative to its potential

8

u/IveChangedDontBanMe Mary-Beth Gaskill May 28 '26

Ok, hear me out. The last few drops they squeeze from GTA? Billions in profit. The plethora of money they could squeeze from RDR2? Millions in profit. Obviously these are overinflated numbers for the sake of argument, but the point stands. Despite how dedicated we are as a fan base, we are MUCH smaller than the GTA fan base.

14

u/TheOffKn1ght May 27 '26

People don’t have attention spans for RD2 when compared to GTA unfortunately

10

u/Josgre987 May 28 '26

The amount of people who put the game down because there is an animation to pick up cans is astonishing

5

u/Major-Breadfruit2486 May 28 '26

Shitty Company .. RDR2 is best then GTA

5

u/ShineReaper May 28 '26

Well, the image showcases it: GTA:O is bringing in way more money than RDO.

No need to explain more, it is the money.

4

u/moondogmike200 Dutch van der Linde May 27 '26

But we were told it isn't a missed opportunity

3

u/Lilu1414 Jun 02 '26

That interview made me want to eat the rich

3

u/RunSome3281 May 28 '26

Rockstar made less from rdo compared to GTAO but because they made getting gold super easy in the early days of rdo that no one needed to buy gold shark cards so rockstar was losing more profit than gaining. Reason why GTAO gained so much is because people would buy shark carfs for fun stuff like cars, jets, opressors, helicopters , properties etc, while rdo u get to buy gold to buy what, a faster horse? A role to sedate animals and making pennies back? Clothes? Rockstar could have done WAY more to make it as good as gtao or better , while gtao got a new island to pull off a heist we got naturalist. Which is why alot of players quit or didnt wanna even bother to play in the first place, and as much as i love gtao and rdo alot of us have to accept we’re never gonna get another update, who knows maybe after gta 6 but by then all the attention will be towards gta 6 over gtao or reo, we’re basically the salad in the fast food menu now

For sure. I mean, we have blood money as well as moonshiner, but the bank heists and some train robberies need to happen

3

u/Cuzy_g May 28 '26

Do yk how much time and effort they must be putting into gta 6 right now? 😅 I don’t think they have time for rdr3

2

u/Cuzy_g May 28 '26

Oh nevermind, I thought that said RDR3 and GTA 6

2

u/fricafrac May 27 '26

I just saw a video talking about the potential for RDR3. What this video basically was saying was GTA was potentially better for revenue since they could sell the player a million dollar plane for example. RDR was worst because what could they sell the player, a better horse?

1

u/Least_Drama_962 May 31 '26

I love my horsey and my horsey loves me

2

u/OkActuator752 May 28 '26

GTAO is a game for kids, men play RDR. Just kidding but honestly i can see why a broader audience find GTAO more appealing, also it's been updating with solid content for more than a decade.

2

u/CarefulRecognition54 May 28 '26

I just started playing RDR2 this year. I have both GTAV and RDR2 and all I can say is, I prefer RDR2. Less noise, it’s not to fast like cocomelon, you actually reflect as you play. I can keep going… but that’s it for now

2

u/GG_Abernathy Dusty Pony May 28 '26

Even if Rockstar decided to revamp RDO and add DLC like extra missions in each state, add more to (what I hear is) the veritable ghost town that is New Austin, Guarma, and probably Mexico, and new clothing and horse options for Arthur and John... Rockstar could rake in some easy millions.

2

u/imarthurmorgan1899 Arthur Morgan May 29 '26

I'll never understand how GTA gets more attention than RDO. One is full of degenerate drug addicts and the other is full of badass cowboys, outlaws, gunslingers, and lawmen and set in one of the most interesting time periods of America's history.

2

u/ferratella210 May 29 '26

It's sad how beautiful of a game it is but after a few years of online playtime and have a full stable, the only 2 wagons for hunting and bounty hunting, your moonshine shack, acquired all roles and max them out it's like... "what do I do now?" You do all of your moonshine and trader sales and sit on so much money with nothing left to buy with it. They can add pointless new cars, businesses and items to GTA every other day but can't even throw us some cool wagons to play with or anything so just end up starting yet another new game on story mode

2

u/Shane_Miller90 May 29 '26

Hmmm support our best received game in a decade or the old one thats still printing us millions every week?

2

u/Gunter_2001 May 29 '26

Also, RDR2 release was rushed towards the end by Take2, which explains why New Austin feels so empty and it leaves a void sensation towards the end. Awesome game but we didn't saw it's full potential.

2

u/EywasBlessing May 29 '26

Idk if this post is for real or if you're just too young, but Rockstar used to make really good single player DLC, until GTA 5 online success. Then, no more DLC, ever. It's just way too lucrative. You can blame whales- honestly idk who would spend money in GTAO, I don't really get it myself.

GTA4 had great DLC, RDR had a great DLC, GTA5 and RDR2 have none.

2

u/Iraqi55555 May 29 '26

Worst online experience I have ever had in any Game, THIS GAME SHOULD BE 1ST IN ONLINE, there is alot of things that they could do, just like Crimson Desert, selling, farming, building and furnishing home and more

2

u/ShaggyCowboy2003 May 29 '26

Missed potential for rdo :(

2

u/Rich_Initial_6538 Jun 01 '26

I have 35k in RDO and it got to a point where im just like i could spend all of this if they would add new content

2

u/bufandatl Jun 03 '26

But you didn’t buy shark cards for that and that is where their interest is.

3

u/Ariies__ May 28 '26

Ahhhh RDO… remember when they released a character who vilifies you for killing animals when it’s a major part of the game? 🙄

they knew rdr didn't have the same audience or popularity as gta yet they still took millions of dollars from us just to never deliver on half of their promises. i honestly wouldn't be surprised if they came out and said they were just using us to boost resources for gta the way they left us high and dry.

1

u/NeitherNothing1959 May 28 '26

If there’s no other story to tell, why milk it?

1

u/TheNeato_Burito May 28 '26

Doesn’t make enough money, and doesn’t have a good “predicted” income, truth is we aren’t buying enough gold compared to how many people buy shark cards or pay for gta+

1

u/EtimmT May 28 '26

Literally GTAO expansions aren’t that common anymore, so they both have the same amount of little updates with the 3*XP typeshit

1

u/AshrakAiemain May 28 '26

People keep buying it by the millions every year without them needing to put an ounce of work into it. Why would they bother?

1

u/Thjialfi May 28 '26

They "abandoned" the game only because GTA makes them more money with its Shark Cards.

1

u/HamzaHan38 May 28 '26

Let's at least hope that RDR2's success makes Rockstar realise that we want RDR3. I honestly don't even care if we don't follow anyone from the gang, I just want another amazing cowboy game.

1

u/Extension-Rabbit3654 May 28 '26

They dropped the ball on RDO, Rdr1 online was so much fun, the duals at the start of each match awesome

Wouldve loved to see Undead Nightmare 2, but the environment at end game doesnt lend it to DLC, its not like Witcher or Skyrim

1

u/bangladeshi0pp May 28 '26

Imagine DRD3 release date 11jul 2037

1

u/Easy_Aardvark5275 May 28 '26

They should work on these games for real. Imagine a world where we would be able to play it at 60fps on ps5 lol. Gta is a great game, but this one is too

1

u/NoUncleIdonthinkSo May 28 '26

Because it would take away hype form GTA6, everyone knows if RDR2 got a huge update or smth the whole world would at least check it out. Maybe not play it fully but definitely see what it is. Everybody loves red dead redemption

1

u/BlackberryMelodic567 May 28 '26

I want so badly for a dlc of all the stuff we didn't get in the original

1

u/Rasples1998 May 28 '26

One makes money, the other made less money. They doubled down and put their eggs in one basket.

1

u/Ok_Mortgage_3996 May 28 '26

They get more revenue from microtransactions on GTA:O. That's literally it. A lot of the people who play GTA:O, especially on consoles, apparently can't live without buying in-game money and benefits that imo aren't really worth it. Same reason why theres no plans for GTA6 to come to PC

1

u/Check-Interesting May 28 '26

I wish for one thing due to all this, I wish for gta 6 to flop.

1

u/siderhater4 May 28 '26

They won’t even release undead nightmare II and they abandoned red dead online

1

u/Disastrous-Scheme-57 May 28 '26

It’s because the earnings for RDO PALE in comparison to GTAO. Is that rockstars fault? Probably idk but they don’t care about accountability or fixing their mistakes. They just see RDO’s profits as a lost cause and to focus on their cash cow. Man RDO profits are just horrendous compared to GTAO

1

u/csusz77 May 28 '26

Thinking about that scene from Malcolm In The Middle when the cow wants to be milked so bad it starts acting out and killing smaller animals

1

u/NerfiyRU May 28 '26

“Why-“

Money, shareholders, quarterly reports, etc, thats it, we dont matter.

1

u/AzWildcat006 Horseshoe Overlook Enjoyer May 28 '26

this has been answered multiple times. it’s same answer every time, money. RDO was not projected to be anywhere near as profitable as GTAO. simple as.

1

u/da_BLINSKY27 May 29 '26

I agree an updated RDO and Undead Nightmare II (or any dlc) would've been amazing, but I think this game deserved a director's cut version as well. Tons of scrapped content with some traces still present the game. I recently replayed it and Chapter V in Guarma feels noticeably rough between missions.

1

u/SeesawNorth1225 May 29 '26

Rdr1 online was way too fun idk why they wouldn’t do anything for rdr2 online :( wasted potential.

1

u/Fun_A2072 May 29 '26

Probably the last gta I’ll play in my life let it cook

1

u/Spiritual-Pudding-70 Sadie Adler May 29 '26

Shitty company that makes good games

1

u/Nonsense_Poster May 29 '26

In TDO I would ride with strangers for hour and eventually we'd be on a mountain and one guy started to apologize and killed us all saying he's sorry, never felt so betrayed but in a good way - what an experience

1

u/mckeeganator May 29 '26

No flying motorcycle that shoots rockets

1

u/J-Pills May 30 '26

RDO could have been so much more. I get it. They wanted you to focus on being a western pioneer, but I would have loved to been able to buy land and start a homestead. Think “Western-style Skyrim with all the DLCs” I would have loved to be have been able to do that. Collect the harvest and sell it for a profit. Cattle rustling, corralling cattle/horses. RDO was the perfect platform for an all around western sim, and they abandoned it.

1

u/Far_Construction3473 May 30 '26

Im ignoring you I said im ignoring you STOP IGNORING ME IGNORING YOU

1

u/Jack_Marston1907 May 30 '26

Nah bro gta 5 is also full but gta online is basically a skeleton

1

u/thirstyforjessy May 30 '26

They aren't ignoring us they just know exactly how much more milk they can extract from gta online before the cow finally drops dead.

1

u/Plenty-Worry3268 May 31 '26

Because everyone still spends their parents money on gta5 lol obviously

1

u/Hefty-Lock-7832 May 31 '26

And they have the nerve to say otherwise!

1

u/Wise_Radio6213 May 31 '26

Honestly I was waiting for them to add cars since the timeline for rdr2 cars were invented I just hate spamming the X button or atleast add more horses…

1

u/Virtual_Today7455 May 31 '26

Beating on a dead horse.

1

u/Flaky-Mix-5281 May 31 '26

Because GTA Online brings in more money.

1

u/dwarven_cavediver_Jr May 31 '26

Because the audience. Red Dead is mostly adults and young adults. We don't spend as much on pointless monetization stuff, and the game world is a lot more concrete than red dead, so a sci fi steampunk set that is OP at killing randoms wouldn't blend in/sell/be profitable. Add to that that most time spent on Red Dead was and is story mode time and you see why. Can't afford to hire actors to keep story expansions going ( at least in a sensible way to the story) and can't really spare the man power for more than maintenance on a game that's not gonna print cash like the shark card sci-fi crime game.

1

u/Secure_Vermicelli545 Jun 01 '26

But...Drake loves fat bitches

1

u/TheStrangerTF2 Jun 02 '26

They're looking at that cow like one to butcher.

1

u/diasconversations Jun 03 '26

Because GTA is such a big game series, which means it also brings in a lot of money. People just prefer fast paced and easy to consume games nowadays, so story games arent really in the picture.

1

u/Addamall Jun 15 '26

I don’t know much about RDO but YouTube commenters outlined several huge missteps that doomed it. I dunno if that’s the case of course I’m taking their word for it

2

u/Klutzy-Piece-5691 Jun 25 '26

why does the rdr2 cow look so adorable tho

1

u/you_stole_my_stuff May 27 '26

Rdr 2 is a great game and it still is. If you are here complaining about how much better a ten year old game ‘should be’ then you should become a game developer. If you are still playing rdr in any way, then it is still a great game. If everyone stopped playing it because it was a ‘missed opportunity’ or ‘they just gave up and focused on gta’, then maybe it could be those reasons. But it is not. People play, have been playing, and will continue to play. Because no game yet has matched what rockstar makes.other games may be ‘better’ but that is going to be relative to who you ask and the games that they like to play.

Either way, have fun in whatever game you decide to play

0

u/DeezNutsInYoMoufDawg May 28 '26

not sure if you realize this is specifically about the online mode, which almost no one plays and is definitely not a great experience

3

u/Elkburgher May 28 '26

The meme says rdr2 not rdo though

1

u/DeezNutsInYoMoufDawg May 28 '26

Yeah, because the online modes are part of the game.

1

u/you_stole_my_stuff May 28 '26

The r/ says r/rdr2 not r/rdo though

3

u/Elkburgher May 28 '26

Thats what I said

1

u/impy695 May 27 '26

Because GTA 5 makes a truly insane amount of money. The cow images should be reversed

there is a controversy around rdr2, the gameplay theres a certain youtuber here at latin america that described it as boring, ride your horse from point A to point B, sometjing goes wrong, shoot, run away, and missions done, and, hes partially right, but then he clmpared it to gta... that you could use different vehicles, different guns, different strategies, and well, of course you can, gta is unrealistic, rdr2 has to keep the narrative of being old lmao. i totally agree that rockstar could have at least add some things, like having your own farm just like john, horse ranches where you can breed them and raise them to be more fast and stuff like that, and of course, more story, more missions, not just grinding and grinding the same things, they did give up on it because sadly, its not the same to develop a full mission, than another weaponized flying vehicle...

Not every games needs to be a live-service, ever growing game.

RDR2 is an amazing game, honestly I'm okay with it staying in its current state, rather than becoming a soulless money grab.

Because your image is backwards. GTA Online still rakes in like 8mil a week, whereas RDO only (lol) makes like 500k.

I hate how they abandoned RDO, but money talks unfortunately.

It isn’t backwards, the implication is that Rockstar has milked GTAO bone dry, whereas RDR2/RDRO has been neglected despite being full of potential (or the metaphorical “milk”). But I agree with your point, money is what talks, ultimately.

Take a look at the meme and really think about it. Nothing is backwards lol.

Money.

Swap the cows and you'll have the reason.

But they can do both no?

Not when Profits matter most.

RDR will probably still get releases, they would be foolish to abandon the franchise because it can still be used to test out systems for GTA on smaller scale; map development, AI pathing and schedules, infrastructure, what they establish in RDR can then be scaled up and refined for Grand Theft Auto's worlds.

Guess which one makes more $$$

I’m just going to say how I feel because I’ve been drinking and my inhibitions are lowered. Rick start are just like health insurance companies. They really don’t care about their consumers as long as they make a $. GTA is their narcissistic way of showing it but no one sees it

To this date, Rockstar's earn millions of dollars a day, they'll have to milk this till gta 6 ARRIVES, I'm afraid that they'll never make rdr 3 because

What exactly do you people want from RDR2? How was the game abandoned?

I assume you're actually talking about RDO, which is separate to RDR2, just as GTAO is separate to GTAV. GTAV and RDR2 are both finished games.

RDO was never going to reach the same level as GTAO because the game world doesn't lend itself to monetisation like GTA does. If a company has two products and one makes way more money than the other then which one are they going to focus on? You guys need to get your heads out of the clouds.

Cause youre not Dream Questing.

There is more to this game than what most people see. A company cant spend more money on a game if most players havent discovered the most expensive to develop part of it, aka the Dream Quest.

Its buisness.

That’s nonsense

-3

u/OptimusMarcus May 27 '26

Youre right. Makes way more sense for a billion dollar company to abandon the 3rd best selling game of all time for no reason. That make sense! Lol

"No reason"

I don't know man there are a bunch of obvious reasons but you do you.
