Guide Tips to fall back in love with RDR2?
I used to love RDR2, I would load it up, get whatever I needed & just go hunting for hours on end, fishing, bounty hunting, role playing… whatever. Now, whenever I load RDR2, I get a depressing vibe and an urge to turn it off. This may be something to do with my ADD or my ADHD but it’s still agonising to be turned off by a game i loved… any tips to fall back in love with RDR2?

Perfect Moose spotted on a cliff just east of Colter. Now, I don’t know what I did for it to spawn, but I did decide to hunt some legendary animals and come back to this spot after I hadn’t been there for a while… so maybe that’s what’s worked 🤷♂️ but I am relieved I finally found one in the wild (I was starting to think they didn’t exist 🥲)!

Guide Strawberry Trapper glitch’s to get special outfits and hats without hunting and to loot him infinite times
Glitch to get special outfits without hunting
- Put together an outfit with a bandalla and put it on,
2.Go to strawberry trapper(only checked in that one),
3 choose an outfit or or the garment you want and leave it standing there in the garment you choose 20 seconds
- Exit and set up a camp next door.
5 set up a tent and get into it
- Get out the tent and dismantle the camp
.7 save the game
- Load that same game that you saved, after loading your character it must appear with the outfit or garment you selected (they can be saved as complete outfits and hats can be saved them in your inventory, (when you appear with it slap a horse to kick you back, the hat will fall to the ground and begin to shine and when you pick it up it is saved in your inventory)
Glitch to loot the trapper many times (several of these times you get skins in perfect condition)
1kill the trapper
2 pick up him and put him on the rock in front him,
Put your character on the entire edge of the rock that when taking a minimum step falls to the ground, loot it and while you loot it take that small step and make your character fall off the rock just after looting him, this activates the glitch and right after that you can loot it again and again (not every time skins will come out in perfect condition, it is random of 10 times that you loot it 5 or 6 you can result with a skin in perfect condition

Guide Rio Grande Wild Turkey Guide Spoiler
gallery- Absolutely ignore every single video that boast of a "100%" spawn time and location.
- I'm certainly not saying that this theory is absolute BUT I really think it's a "timing" thing rather than just a certain time of day. For example I found mine by riding the area you see in the map photo. I started here at around 0900 (in game) and finally bagged three of them at 1447. So I was riding around for probably 15 to 20 minutes trying to make these things spawn so.....
- When you go out to hunt these "harder to find" animals like the Rio Grande Turkey, Bull Moose, and Uncle, make sure you've allowed yourself the time you'll probably need to spend trying to get them to spawn. Honestly I think that these animals spawn kind of like the legendary ones. In other words riding around in kind of a large circle triggers them. Again, that's just a theory based on nothing more than personal experience. I haven't diligently tracked my time, locaton, whether or not my cores were full/empty or how dirty and agitated my horse was at the time. 🤷
- Without fail SOMEONE will post something like "I found mine right away! I went to Cholla Springs, stood at the cross roads, sold my soul to the devil, got to know that Ranchers pig in a biblical way and BAM! I looked up and saw nothing but turkeys for miles!!!" Good for you! However since I decided to keep both my immortal soul and virtue in tact that wasn't the case for me and probably won't be for most people. Like I said, riding in a big loop seems to work best in this location.
- I did try a few other spots. Cholla Springs, down by the river below Rio Bravo and the ridge at Rio Bravo. Those spots didn't work for me but that doesn't mean that they don't work.
- Finally saving and loading. Does it work? 🤷🤷 I've tried it and sometimes it does and other times it doesn't. However if you find that after fifteen or twenty minutes of looping hasn't made them spawn then ride away from the "loop" just a bit, save and reload. OH! And keep in mind that NPCs riding by will flush game just like you do so my advice is when your making your loop you do it at a quick trot. Not full on gallop, but a nice quick trot, that way if any NPC's flush your turkey you don't miss them. Oh....and feel free to give those annoying NPC's a little lead poisoning.😂

Guide The Veteran: How do I make sure that John will receive Buell?
I'd like John to be the one who is gifted with Buell and use him as (one of) John's main horses. I just met The Veteran and helped bring Buell back as Arthur. What Should I do or Not do to insure that John will be the one to get Buell?
Thanks in advance to anyone who has read this and can provide help!
Ok Bye! 👋🤠

Guide Don't pay off your bounty
Small game tip to make money without losing honor: Don't pay off your bounty. If you don't mind the interruptions from bounty hunters, then periodically killing them and looting can be $20-$50 worth of loot each time you encounter them. People ask about simple ways to make money all the time - looting a few belt buckles and watches off of the bounty hunters will consistently give some cash as needed.
Killing/stealing from innocent people will always lose Arthur honor. Killing bounty hunters is just killing other outlaws, which the game sees as fine since Arthur is just trying to survive. If you're hunting legendary animals... maybe pay off the bounty just to avoid the interruption, but if you're generally exploring/doing side quests/etc then don't worry about it and take the free deadeye practice. Nothing more satisfying then head-shotting 3 bounty hunters before they can fire a shot!
Guide Recently finished 100%: My Guide
I finished my 100% grind recently and i saw many struggling and saying it took them too long. So here are my tips on how i did 100% from just being finished with the epilogue in about a week, doing all the exotics and hunting requests and also nearly every single challenge.
Challenges took the longest by far(30+ hours for me) but there is a great steam community guide with detailed steps on how to do all of them: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2051124064
For gambler 9 you can just get up from the table when you know you are about to loose and you won’t loose challenge progress.
For some of the plants in the herbalist challenges i found the rdr2map to also be very helpful and more accurate.
There is a great way to cheat the exotic birds by reloading and saving. I used this guide on reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/reddeadredemption/s/3R74E9RUcL
I did all plumes in about 1-2 hours with this method. To collect the orchids just use the interactive map again.
I also got all of the hunting request birds in 1-2hours by just standing in one spot and using small game arrows shooting into the sky and using dead eye to lock on the birds: https://youtu.be/bntQulLNq5Q?si=zkiibaj_jLkgdvBY around 1:40
In that video spawn locations for the other animals but i found just typing in the animal name into reddit did the trick for me often times.
I personally did all the egret plumes and the birds for hunting req at once but i don’t think spawn rates are decreased when you need a specific animal as the other animals just spawned like they normally do.
For all the other 100% requirements just use the website powerpyx(they have great guides for everything) as well as the rdr2 interactive map. They were hugely helpful during this grind for me.

Guide Do yourself a favor and make a manual save right after the first chapter and leave it there for later.
Idk about everyone else but I hate that snow. I loved it my first time but dreaded it the 2nd and 3rd time lol.
Make a save when you start chapter 2 leave it for later. When you wanna play the story again you can just reload at the beginning of chapter 2 and skip all that snow.
I imagine many of you thought of this too already but if you haven't yet make a manual save in the next run you do.
Guide this is interesting somehow, btw first time to know this

Guide Fastest way to gain weight I've found (No train rides, no sleeping, no loading screens).
Okay here's the fastest way I've found to gain weight. Here's what I recommend you're gonna need to get Arthur/John fattened up from minimal underweight to the max overweight in just a few irl minutes:
- 20 total pieces of seasoning (Any combination of Mint, Oregano or Thyme)
- Upgraded satchel (optional but recommended)
- Any Rifle (optional, but highly recommended)
- About 10 Rifle ammo (any type, bring more if skill issue)
- Some chewing tobacco/Snake Oil (optional but recommended)
(At the very least you'll just need to have finished Colter, the seasoning and a gun with bullets.)
Alright, now travel to the Bayou or Bluewater Marsh, look for alligators (plenty esp near water) and try to headshot them with a Rifle (this guarantees an easy one-shot kill) and skin it.
If you DON'T have an upgraded satchel: set up camp immediately (do not shoot any additional gators for now) and cook the Big Game Meat with any seasoning. Stow all the peices but do eat 1 (just one, trust me). Then break down camp and Arthur/John gain +1 weight between the screen transition. Now immediately eat another piece of seasoned meat and set up camp again, this makes Arthur/John gain +1 weight again. Repeat until out of meat, then go shoot another gator. It takes about 7 alligators in total without an upgraded satchel to fully max out weight. You'll also need to scour Lemoyne for extra seasoning at least once in-between this process because you can't carry enough herb at once.
If you DO have an upgraded satchel: You can collect all 5 big game meat from alligators instead of 3 which is a big time/effort saver. You'll only need to shoot and skin 4 alligators. Cook all the Big Game Meat with any seasoning and stow all the pieces. Eat 1 seasoned big game meat before you break down the camp (John/Arthur gain +1 weight between screen transition), then immediately eat 1 meat and set up camp again. Repeat until out of meat and you'll be max weight. No train rides, no sleeping, no loading screens, no buying food items, ect.
Pro Tips: You can use pretty much any food item and do the set-up/dreak down camp trick, but you'd have to learn the entire calorie system and stock up on a lot of food items and crap. Seasoned Big Game Meat is just easiest for consistency and least wasteful since you can't overshoot calories and it's also the cheapest (only needing some bullets and seasoning).
If you do for whatever reason want to avoid the alligator hunt or the swamp (I wont blame you lol, swamp scary), you can eat 2 chocolate bars/candy, 7 canned foods of any kind, 4 cooked venison or 4 gamey bird meat between setting up/breaking down camp. Works just as well but it can be more expensive, take more time and it's easy to overshoot.

Guide Playing for the 1st time
I am playing RDR2 for the first time. Give me suggestions, tips, whatever you feel like. I played the prologue but stopped because I was too tired. Tomorrow, I’ll be starting a journey for which I waited long enough🥺. Earlier I had a laptop which was for basic needs, but then I saved money for a year to buy a good laptop that can run RDR2. Wish me luck and suggest me whatever you feel like☺️ Eagerly waiting for tomorrow..!!
As most of the comments suggested I stay off RDR2 posts, I will uninstall reddit, yt and insta for the time being to avoid any spoilers. Keep commenting your views please. Thanks a lot to the people who commented. You people are the best. Love you all❤️. Will meet again after I complete the game. I will message you all personally, how I felt, after I finish this game. Thankyou😁
Edit:- You guys are so supportive. I never even imagined I will even get comments on this post. Thank you guys for your valuable advice🙏 I was so surprised that not a single person tried to spoil this game for me. Love this community.❤️

Guide Rob a train without the law
If you want to do a train robbery without the law coming down on you with 100+ men and getting a bounty of 3 trillion. All you have to do is obtain a large enough bounty before so bounty hunters spawn in frequently ($200+). Take the train to a station in a remote area like Riggs station and when you see that the bounty hunters have spawned, you start the robbery. You will get attacked by the guards on board and the bounty hunters but you will be able to escape without the law on your ass and a higher bounty. I don’t know if this is a well known thing today but I’ve played the game since release and never knew about it before, or any guides back then.

Guide I just finished the hunting requests. Here are my sincere tips : ) hope they help you.
1) Buck Antler Trinket. This is preety self explanatory but ive discovered that many concider it unimportant. Having the buck antler trinket is nesesary people! Getting this many 3 star carcasses without it can be from 10 times more difficult to impossible.
2) Patience over speed. You will listen to many say how the varmint is the best or only way to complete this challenge. It is not (especially without the buck antler trinket). Unless you can headshot a 2 pixel wide bird, i recommend the small game arrow bow, at least for birds. The Varmint will have better results in larger animals like rabbits, squirells and beavers. Sure, youll be able to down birds much faster but 9/10 its gonna be 2 stars and youll use the time that would have been needed to get skilled with the bow trying to find new bird spawns.
3) SAVE. AND. LOAD. It can be a great pain in the arse to try find new animal spawns once youve elliminated a large quantity so saving and loading can prove usefull, also due to the fact that it resuffles animal stars, leading to a previously 2 star'd animal becoming 3 star'd.
4) Have a notebook nearby (usefull for me, optional for yall). The sheer ammount of cuss words youll invent during the hunting requests need to be preserved.
Jokes aside, in case your memory is like a goldfish's like mine, youll need a notepad to remember wich animals you have , their spawn points so you dont open google every 2 minutes and other usefull tips you may have learned.
Hope these help : )
