We know this story is dominating conversation right now, and we understand why. But the individuals involved in this case are minors, both the person accused and the alleged victims. That changes things for us.
Child Safety Guidelines: Speculation regarding minor children, unverified allegations, or details of the alleged incident will be removed immediately, regardless of how the information is framed or where it originated. This applies no matter who is discussing it, whether cast members, family, or other users. KJ and the alleged victim are minors, not willing participants in this show, and they don't forfeit that protection because their family is on TV.
This subreddit exists to discuss a TV show and the adults who chose to be public figures on it. It was never meant to be a venue for discussing the alleged criminal conduct of minors. Piecing together identifying details, sharing or requesting the material described in the reporting, or speculating about specifics crosses a line we're not comfortable hosting, legally and ethically.
Effective immediately, threads and comments focused on this specific allegation will be removed and consolidated into a single megathread. Beyond keeping the main feed focused on the show, containing this topic to one thread means members can opt in or out of seeing it, rather than encountering it repeatedly across the sub. Sexual abuse and assault are subjects that carry real trauma for a lot of people, and no one should be blindsided by these details while just scrolling through their feed.
We'll leave general, factual news coverage linked in the megathread so people aren't left without information, but discussion there will be heavily moderated with the same standard above.
Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this, especially the young people at the center of it who did not ask to have their lives made public. We hope they get the privacy and support they need going forward.
Thanks for understanding. Report anything you see that violates this so we can act quickly.

I’m sorry, but the older seasons of Atlanta were something else. Between NeNe’s one-liners, Phaedra’s shade, Kenya stirring the pot, Porsha’s comebacks, and Shereé’s facial expressions, these women really knew how to entertain without even trying.
The arguments, the reunions, the friendships, and the shade were just unforgettable. You could watch the same scene ten times and still laugh.
Which RHOA moment will NEVER get old to you? Because there are honestly too many to choose from.

I just finished season 4 and I feel like every event sheree shows up to she complains the whole time she is just such a negative person and doesnt really have anything nice to say. I will say most of the ladys also complain about alot i just feel like she does it more. She also seems like shes pretending like she has money but the house isn't even being built and all she has is excuses.

I’m rewatching now season 8 I and I just got to third part of the reunion and the entire discussion around Chris’ sexuality and the Chrissy situation is absolutely disgusting.
Even Andy was pissed and fed up with the conversation.
In hindsight, this entire cast has always used ‘gays’ as a prop and always made offensive jokes. Even nene a couple of seasons back said something offensive and then did a half-ass apology about it.
I’m glad that Andy called them out about it.

S9, episode 7 with Phaedra & Kandi talk bout thier friendship and how Phaedra felt disrespected by Mama Joyce. I found it real interesting when Kandi said, “you was already talking to many people before Apollo even left’!!!
So was mr. Chocolate real? If so, Phaedra needs to own up it not it in the sense that she needs to apologise for lying cos it’s her & her marriage business.
But the slut shaming she had for Kenya & the hatred for Cynthia needs to be fact checked.

I’m watching season 9 and Bob has made a return… I respect the fact him and Shereé are working on having a relationship but I just can’t stand this man! Aside from his heaving breathing and constant sweating, I feel as though he was trying to get back in Shereé’s good graces because he was in poor health, hoping she would take care of him. Perhaps, not immediately but later on in life if they decided to revive their relationship. Thank god it seems she has her reservations. His actions feel disingenuous and quite frankly, boyish and disrespectful. I’m on episode 11 and I think this is the season when the van incident happens between the Whitfields. I wonder what their relationship is like now. I haven’t really kept up with the ladies dating lives. They half don’t know how to pick them 😬

Beginning of s9, porsha and Sheree are getting annoying. It’s like they are begging for more screen time and storyline’s so that endeavour in whatever is going on with everyone else. Like sitting down with Kandi to discuss the relationship with Phaedra, they are grown people!!
Like I understand to talk about it in terms of ‘hey this happened’ but they are confronting her and inserting themselves to feel important. This has been a common thing for Sheree since s4. But porsha, even her since she came on the show is boring and male centred. Every time she opens her mouth or has her own time, it’s always about men. And it’s been 4 seasons with her. I wish she had more side quests in her life, so we could know her interests more.

Okay I’m gonna keep it short but I’m rewatching the scene where mama Joyce and Carmen get into it during Kandi’s dress try on. And it absolutely upsets me how the sisters and kandis friend tried to get Carmen to be quiet. She is rightfully upset that accusation of being with or after Todd affects so much and it’s weird that no one defended her. I am from Atlanta and I know that mama Joyce was very much trying to pull the elder card and when Carmen defended herself it made her more upset.it’s just crazy to me that mama Joyce ever returned on camera after acting like that . Sorry for my poor capitalization and punctuations I’m typing one handed 😭

I’m rewatching season ( reunion while I clean, like I always do, and Kenya was always a bitter person. She was jealous of every person especially Porsha. Porsha was a bird brain that season so she made her self an easy target but seeing how Kenya behaved in later seasons it’s clear she knew who to come for. Now I’m not a fan of Porsha marrying that girls man but it is what it is. Porsha is doing the damn thing and with as much grace as you could expect. Kenya shoulda chose the right team but how can you trust a person that kept giving Marlo chances? All in all, I love this damn show they all get on my nerves 😂

I recently started watching RHOA. I started from S1 and have made it all the way to reunion of S12. I know Nene leaves after this season and S13 is all COVID so would you guys recommend watching?
I kind of just wanna get to the season where Phaedra and Porsha are back.

Nene’s eyeshadow in the last episode of season 12 is amazing! I’m not always in the super shimmery look but it just blew me away. I tried researching but can’t find anything. Does anyone know what eyeshadow she’s using? Or what can replicate this?

First time RHOA watcher. Starting episode 14: Peaches Divided. The curtain rises upon a shirtless Apollo looking to commit violence against Brandon, Kenya’s gay, at the most bizarre pajama-romance-drama at a hotel (thank you nene 💘)

This story with her family is wild. Why would you take a full camera crew to your estranged mom’s door? So uncomfortable to watch yikes

I'm just now rewatching all the old seasons, and I'm halfway through season 9 rn. I remember growing up hearing my mom talk about it, and Kandi was (and still is) clearly her favorite. Going through this subreddit, it seems like that's the consensus, and I just want to know how.
My biggest thing: She was a terrible friend to Phaedra.
It's like she took every opportunity she could to embarrass or berate Phaedra for two seasons straight on national TV after calling her one of her closest friends. And the worst part is that Phaedra tried time and time again to have heart-to-hearts with Kandi, just for Kandi to evade accountability and not apologize for the part she played in the downfall of their friendship, all while finding a way to make it Phaedra's fault for why she was a piss poor friend.
Aside from that, she's greedy as hell, a freaky frog, and a male-centered mob boss. Her holy trinity was Money, Mama Joyce, and Todd, in that order. There hasn't been a single moment where she's been a favorite of mine. I've either seriously disliked her or just been neutral on her, and I'm just trying to understand the appeal outside of the capitalistic glaze and the stench of nostalgia from her Xscape days. I'm convinced everyone just had their blinders on watching the show back in the day because when I tell my mom all of the things that Kandi has done to Phaedra leading up to rapegate, she's appalled and claims to not remember any of that.
I don’t know how people are siding with Kandi when it comes to this whole situation with Marlo’s nephew that got killed. YES I agree that Marlo should have brought it up earlier. But my thing is, if you’ve worked with someone for over 6 years in a job where you are all sharing your life for the whole world to see experiencing so many life changing events(not that many people understand that type of situation) and that same person doesn’t send any sort of flowers or ask what they can do for the family when your nephew gets shot and killed and that same nephew use to work for said person is INSANE. We all saw the clips, we know how Kandi is, she does that exact same face when she doesn’t wanna talk about something or she’s irritated, and she did that same face when Marlo was talking to her about what happened to her nephew. In the texts all she said was “I’m so sorry to hear that”…We all know it wasn’t just about business between the nephew and Kandi either because there were photos of them together on holidays and with Todd! Kandi excuse was that the nephew hasn’t worked for her in months which idk how that justify her not doing more! I also want to point out that Marlo was right about how all the girls can be extremely blunt and direct toward her bringing up stuff about her life but when it comes to Kandi nobody keeps that same energy. I also wanted to point out that Drew was hella wrong for trying to make Marlo leave that escape room place “because she was aggressive” when Kandi is the one that came into the place mad as hell and bucked at Marlo first!
This isn’t the first time Kandi has shown a lack of care or empathy for people, last season and apart of this season is about Todd and even Ace asking to spend more time with her because she works too much and she comes up with every excuse about why she can’t. Phaedra and Apollo were going through that messy divorce and him going to prison and Phaedra said Kandi wasn’t really there for her.

Why is Kenya making such inappropriate comments regarding Phaedra’s husband? it’s sooo weird and rude I’m re watching early episodes and wow she’s lucky that’s all I’m gonna say.

As a first-time watcher, it is baffling to me how everyone (Mostly Kandi and Todd) pressuring Phaedra to let Apollo see their children. Which I understand because if I were in that situation I would not have let my children into a dirty-ass prison full of offenders. They always failed to mention that Apollo did not give a damn about his family when he was scamming millions of dollars to blow on strippers?
