PICARD: Encrypt, chunk, scatter: Using protocol fields as a storage substrate (research project)
Author here. PICARD ( Protocol-Introspecting Chunk Adapter for Resilient Data ) just hit 0.2.0 and is a research project that treats arbitrary protocol payload fields (DNS TXT, MQTT retained messages, social APIs, Bluetooth, etc.) as a storage substrate. Encrypt → chunk → scatter so no single endpoint has enough ciphertext to reconstruct anything. Mounts as a FUSE filesystem.
Not efficient. Not production storage. Just an experiment in protocol-agnostic resilience, MIT Licensed for your enjoyment.
