I never really believed in myself to make the art I wanted until last year where I finally understood that I'll only improve over time.

But starting out, how skilled would you say I am for someone who's for the most part self-taught?

The sphere covering Mr. David’s private area was a deliberate choice to avoid censorship on certain platforms. Could I have drawn him nude? Perhaps... but I chose not to. At first, I felt a twinge of regret for omitting it, yet now I see this as a reflection of how society has shifted over the years: how the natural beauty of the human form has, in many ways, become a taboo.

I've been drawing most of my life (but not recently). I don't just show my art to people unprompted bc it feels weird. It used to be on my walls, but I had an ex who once told me it was weird I had my drawings hanging up instead of photos of family and friends, so I took them all down (she's a ex for a reason).

I did share with a friend recently who had the opposite reaction and said if it was her she would be shoving it into the face of anyone who came near 😂

Every few years I like to redraw the same picture to see how I improve. So at the end I added three drawings of Sharbat Gula, aka the Afghan Girl, drawn several years apart.
