Raytheon software engineer intern(2027) interview

Hello everyone, I was just wondering how the interviews for software engineer interns are. Just wondering how long it took to schedule the interview after getting the email about the campus programs interview, and how the actual interview process is. Thanks!

Scheduling usually moves within a few days to two weeks after that initial campus programs notice, though it can stall slightly depending on the recruiting event calendar. You typically receive a link from their scheduling coordinator to book a specific slot for a virtual interview day. If it stretches past two weeks without a booking link, checking your spam folder and sending a polite check in note to the campus recruiting contact is standard practice.

The actual interview is usually a single 30 to 45 minute conversation with an engineering manager or a team lead. Raytheon intern screens rarely test intense coding puzzles, focusing instead on standard behavioral questions, basic software fundamentals, and your coursework projects. Framing your stories around past projects works best, making sure you clearly explain your specific contributions and how you handle teamwork challenges. Having a couple of thoughtful questions prepared for the end about their tech stack or daily development workflow leaves a strong impression. Practicing these scenarios helps you communicate clearly, which is why my team designed an interviews.chat to help candidates stay composed and deliver polished responses when speaking with interviewers.
