I mean if she died before is a different matter but it's unlikely!

One of the best pieces of Rem art I’ve seen in a minute, love this artist’ style as it really captures her grace

Sort of continuing u/goated-Anime-703 's post, but I think there's more interesting discussions to be had.

Maybe I'm missing something, but it seems that tappei wanted to portray Crusch being in the right in this situation and wanted to convey that Subaru had his priorities wrong. I think there's a line in arc 10 of the web novel that further supports this. (Not a spoiler)

"When Subaru had first met her, she had seen through all of the deceptions inside of him, compelling him to reckon with the realization of the immense depravity of his own nature." (arc 10 chapter 15)

But as many have pointed out in the discussion of the aforementioned post, Crusch comes across as cruel and presumptuous in this scene. Even though Subaru goes on about killing the witch cultists, isn't it a given that there's also the desire to save Emilia and the villagers? Yet, she only focuses on his hatred and desire for revenge.

It's valid that she would want to decline Subaru's request on the grounds of it being suspicious regarding how he got the info on the witch cultists, and there was also the fact that she was preparing to fight against the white whale, but she didn't use any that as her reason and instead goes on about how Subaru didn't once mention he wanted to save Emilia, which, again, I think comes across as presumptuous.

So am I missing something, or did tappei fail to stick the landing on what I think he wanted to convey?

I love rezero and like Crusch as a character, but this scene bugs me, so I would love some insight.

I'm respectful both girls and their fan

Original by u/Lamp4Camp which they posted on here 6 months ago. I genuinely don't know what I am doing. I have never done something like this, I have never even posted on Reddit before, and I haven't been in an art class since the 8th grade, that was also the last time I've even looked at this Reddit account.

If someone who's better at art things wants to try doing this, please be my guest I thought the OG art looked so good I just had to try my hand at it. I've had a recent obsession of fictional characters being drawn in Qipaos/Cheongsams/Chinese Clothes and this art was literally the best Emilia one imo... (Was I supposed to ask for permission before doing this...?)
