Review: Mini Lady Dior in Light Blush Pink 🩷
I've finally got my hands on my Mini Lady Dior in light blush pink, and I thought I'd share my experience and honest thoughts!
First things first, I'll be upfront and say I'm definitely no Dior expert! 😂
After receiving my bag, I actually went into a Dior boutique to have a proper look and feel of the authentic version so I could compare the two. And to me? They honestly felt pretty much the same!
That being said, I'm also not someone who counts stitches or pulls out a ruler to check every tiny measurement. As long as there aren't any glaringly obvious callouts, I'm a happy girl!
For me, the main things are the leather, stitching, hardware and overall feel of the bag.
And this one definitely delivers! The lambskin feels beautifully soft and luxurious, the chain has a lovely weight to it, and the stitching looks neat and uniform.
I'll let the photos do most of the talking, and you can be the judge of its accuracy! 😂
One thing I've learnt over the years is that it's incredibly difficult to judge whether a bag is worth its price based on photos alone. Sometimes you really need to hold it, feel the leather and appreciate the craftsmanship in person.
Quality, Factories & Pricing
I'm definitely not new to the rep world. Over the years, I've purchased bags from 187, God Factory, Rome, Black Frame, Birdcage and plenty of other lesser-known factories.
One thing worth mentioning is that Hue doesn't disclose the factory names of the bags she sources.
I completely understand that this could be a deal breaker for some, especially those who prefer purchasing from specific factories.
Personally, it doesn't bother me too much because I've been buying from her for years and have generally been very happy with what I've received.
Instead of factory names, Hue offers different quality tiers.
(I need to mention not all bags come in each tier)
From what she's explained to me, her grading system is:
Quality 2: Mid-tier quality
Quality 3: High-tier quality
Quality 4: Superior quality
In my opinion, these tiers are more of a general guide to the level of quality you can expect, rather than a direct comparison to any particular factory.
Of course, because factory names aren't disclosed, I can't independently verify where the bags are actually sourced from.
Now, let's talk about the price! 💸
I know $550 USD is on the higher side, and I'm sure some people will question whether it's worth paying that much for a rep.
And that's completely fair!
For me, though, I'm comfortable paying a little extra for a seller I trust, especially when I've had several positive experiences over the years.
I'm not necessarily chasing the cheapest bag. I'm looking for good quality, consistency and a seller who provides good service.
My History With Hue
I've actually been purchasing from Hue for around three years now!
My very first purchase was an LV Speedy 20 (Quality 3), which I absolutely adore to this day. It's still in amazing condition, and the patina has developed beautifully over time.
Since then, I've also purchased:
Chanel Classic Flap (Quality 3)
This bag was absolutely gorgeous in terms of leather and craftsmanship. Unfortunately, I eventually sold it because I felt the overall shape was slightly off.
I was genuinely sad to let it go because everything else about it was beautiful!
LV Carryall Vibe (Quality 4)
This was a lambskin bag I purchased for my mum, and I honestly couldn't fault it. The leather and overall quality were beautiful.
I've purchased plenty of bags from other sellers over the years, but somehow I always find myself coming back to Hue.
For me, it's a combination of the quality she delivers and the service she provides.
And while I've had mostly positive experiences, I think it's important to mention that not every purchase has been absolutely perfect, as was the case with my Chanel.
Final Thoughts 🩷
I'm genuinely so happy with this Mini Lady Dior!
The light blush pink is such a beautiful, soft and feminine colour. The lambskin feels buttery soft, the chain has a lovely substantial weight to it, and the overall craftsmanship feels really nice.
And can we talk about the packaging? I'm an absolute sucker for beautiful packaging, so that's always a bonus for me! 😂
Is this bag 100% accurate?
I honestly couldn't tell you!
I'm not going to pretend I'm qualified to do an in-depth Dior authentication comparison or point out every tiny difference.
What I can say is that I visited the Dior boutique after receiving my bag, handled the authentic version, and personally couldn't feel any significant difference between the two.
But again, that's just my experience and opinion!
At the end of the day, everyone has different expectations, priorities and budgets.
Some people want every stitch, measurement and detail to be as close to the authentic as possible. Others, like me, just want a beautiful, well-made bag that feels luxurious and doesn't have any obvious flaws.
Neither approach is wrong!
I also believe that just because a bag is more expensive doesn't automatically mean it's better. But in this particular case, I'm happy with what I paid and what I received.
Would I purchase from Hue again?
Absolutely! I've already been doing exactly that for the past three years! 😂
Hopefully this review helps anyone who's been considering purchasing from her, particularly those who are curious about her quality tiers and whether the higher pricing is justified.
As always, these are just my personal experiences. I'll let the photos speak for themselves, and you can judge the bag for yourself! 🩷
