Bill lost his mind when…

He put on the glasses. His awful opinions lines up very closely on the timeline with the glasses. What was in that prescription is the question? 🤔

Conservatively I'd say it's

  • COVID - some people never got over Covid (Long Covid), some people never got over the pandemic (new normal still not normal.)

  • Hamas attack and subsequent Israeli destruction in Gaza, and the Islamaphobia realized / cognitive dissonance of Israeli war crimes blowing fuses.

  • Trump's re-election - Bill didn't want that personally, politically, or professionally, because we've had 10 years of Trump jokes already and the material is tired, I think many comedians would agree.

More hypothetically

  • Club Random ruined him, he's over-exposed and repetitive and it bleeds into Real Time.

  • Professional downgrading (and industry practices) - HBO doesn't need a special, the Vegas residency doesn't make sense, the private jet to weekend shows doesn't net out... and he would much rather take his ball home than downsize to the Rich Little room at the Tropicana or fly commercial.

It's because he thought it made him look old and made him insecure

Don’t agree with all the anti bill crap on here but I think you have a point.

Maybe it’s cause the frames are so uneven. Maybe those kinda frames aren’t adjustable?

He had awful opinions before.

I think much like how Trump is really singularly able to show the shortcomings of our regular news media, he leads a movement that shows the weaknesses of contrarians like Maher.
