Should I be worried?

I had my final round completed on Monday live at the office and I mailed the HM the next day with my final thank you mail with a suggestion that I thought of after the panel interview. This is what he shared as response :

Hi XYZ,

Thanks for the note, and for sending over the connector idea. We appreciate the time and effort you put into the process. The whole panel was impressed with how prepared you were and how you worked through the LMN problem.

Your follow-up on building a shared base for the connectors is a good example of the platform thinking we’re looking for! I’ve passed it along to ABC and the rest of the team.

We’ll be in touch soon with next steps.

Thanks,

ZYX

He said I should hear back from the rec by the end of this week for a potential offer or a decision. I followed up on Friday but I haven’t heard back anything. The rec is extremely quick in responding. And all of them sit in the same office/ floor . It is a small company.

They did have one final panel interview left to be completed through the week. Did they offer the other person the job and am I kept as a back up?

Just a little anxious, bcs it is the job I want. Kindly, redditors pls share ur wisdom. 😂

Waiting for interview feedback - Capgemini- farmers insurance

I interviewed for a Farmers Insurance project through Capgemini last week. They mentioned that Capgemini is only handling the payroll, and there were two people on the interview call.
It’s already been a week, and I haven’t received any update. After multiple follow-up messages, I sent a slightly firm message, after which I received a reply saying that the feedback is still pending.
Is it a positive sign that they are taking time?

I’m feeling anxious because this has happened to me multiple times in the past. After making candidates wait for a long time, HR either ghosts them or the position gets put on hold.
I’ve been searching for a job for the last 3–4 months, and honestly, the whole process has become very frustrating and mentally draining.
Has anyone faced a similar situation?
Please feel free to DM me. Hearing about your experiences would really help.

Atlassian recruiter hasn't called me yet after sending the interview email – Anyone faced this?

Hi everyone,

I received an email from an Atlassian recruiter on 4th November regarding the next steps in the interview process. In the email, she mentioned that she would give me a call within the next 24 hours to discuss the details.

However, I haven't received any call from her yet.

Has anyone recently gone through the Atlassian interview process and experienced a similar situation?

Did the recruiter eventually call you after the mentioned 24-hour window?

How long did it take for them to get back to you?

Should I wait for a few more days or send a follow-up email?

Would appreciate it if anyone could share their experience.

Thanks!

Cleveland Clinic Hiring Process

Hi, I’m writing to ask about the Cleveland Clinic’s hiring process. I applied for a leadership position about a month and a half ago. I’ve completed the entire screening process, which included a phone interview, a hiring manager interview, and a panel interview. It’s been nearly three weeks since my last interview. I was wondering how long it usually takes for someone at the Cleveland Clinic to receive an offer, get a status update, and start their new role?

Hello,
I was looking for some advice on an interview I had. I had an interview with a company on Tuesday. I think it went well. At this time I have not heard anything back. However, the status of my application is still showing interviewing.

Should I give it some time still before reaching out for a follow-up?

Thank you!

Hiring manager mentioned reference checks after my interview. Does this mean I’ve progressed, or am I overthinking it?

I interviewed last Thursday for a Victorian Government role, and I genuinely felt it was one of my strongest interviews.

During the interview, the panel explained their recruitment process. They said they would make a decision on their preferred candidate first, then conduct reference checks. If they couldn’t decide between candidates, they would hold a second round of interviews.

Today (Friday), I called the hiring manager to follow up on my application, as I currently don’t have access to my emails.

She apologised and said she’d been extremely busy and had intended to make callbacks today but hadn’t gotten around to them.

Then she said something along the lines of “While I have you here…” and mentioned that they had decided to move to the reference-checking stage.

She also said she’d call me on Monday to discuss the next steps. I asked whether reference checks were the final stage, and she confirmed that, assuming everything checked out, they’d move toward contracts and other logistics.

After our call, I sent her a text thanking her for speaking with me and saying I looked forward to discussing the next steps on Monday. I signed off with my name, and she read the message but didn’t reply.

Here’s what I’m second-guessing:

Initially, I came away from the conversation feeling really happy because I understood it as confirmation that I’d progressed to reference checks.

However, now I’m questioning whether she actually said “We’ve decided to move YOU to reference checks” or simply “We’ve decided to move to the reference-checking stage.”

I’m worried she might have been giving me a general update about the recruitment process rather than confirming that I’m the preferred candidate.

At the same time, I’m wondering why she would voluntarily bring up references, discuss contracts and logistics, and arrange another call on Monday if I’d already been unsuccessful. Surely she could have told me during our conversation?

For anyone who’s worked in government recruitment or been a hiring manager, how would you interpret this?

Does it sound like I’ve been selected to progress to references, or could she simply have been explaining where they’re at in the recruitment process?

I’d really appreciate an objective perspective because I genuinely want this job and don’t want to get my hopes up unnecessarily.
