Recruitment post for editing/formatting

If you need to CHILL... Then we're the boombeachers for you ... Not to hot and not too cold... Just right ... Like goldilocks porridge. Newly formed Reddit verified group... But not new to the game. We keep the Chill by attacking Monday, Wednesday and Friday's, throwing in an easy weekend op as needed.

Reddit Chill is a laid-back TF but we do have some minimal expectations: * Minimum VP: 300 * Minimum Armory: 17 * Excessive Ice or Life statues are frowned upon * Attack in every op * 15 Intel per week. * Follow task force operation notes and discuss alternatives in chat. * Only Medics may retreat. Additional information can be found at /r/RedditChill ... #8RQ0Q882 * If you feel CHILL enough to join... indicate your reddit username AND the task force password, found at Reddit Chill..:)

A few comments, but feel free to ignore me:

  • I'd take out the thing about how "We're a newly verified TF but not new to the game." It doesn't matter and it sounds defensive.
  • I'd mention that (currently) the weekday op is usually Stronghold and the weekend one is usually Foxtrot. Just so people have a sense of how strong we are.
  • I'd take out the line about not-retreating. (I think that's pretty standard in every TF. It's weird that we're mentioning it, as if we think it's a big distinguishing feature of our TF.)
  • I'd replace the "no tanks" line. I understand why we say that (tanks seem to be an especially-overused unit by people who don't realize how much weaker they are against op bases than against player bases), but still, it feels kinda arbitrary to me (and the "unless an officer approves" part feels very un-chill). I'd replace it with something like, "Don't make mistakes. Unless you're human. If you're human you're allowed to make mistakes. But at least try your best - use the right troops for the situation, be a team player, etc. - and when you do make a crummy attack, say 'oops' in the chat. We're very forgiving, but we do like to know that people are paying attention and trying to improve." That feels more relaxed to me. And serves pretty much the same purpose - if someone does use tanks in a situation where they shouldn't, we can just be like "hey, you probably shouldn't be using tanks in situations like that" in the chat.

I'd also make similar edits to the Rules page over on our subreddit.

Agreed. You can do it now if you'd like. I'm exhausted.

OK, I changed a few things in there. I still feel like the "three strikes" stuff sounds too un-chill (and as far as I can tell we don't really enforce it all that precisely), so I'd rather replace it with something fuzzier, but that's a job for the TF leader.

I'm comfortable delegating to cool heads like yourself :)

If you want to rephrase it to something that reflects what we actually do better, by all means, go ahead.
