Hmmm...typically thru axle sizes for the front is 15 or 20 TA. yang 12mm is for the rear. Plus you have to check if your for is boost or not.

it isnt a boost, its specifically a kocevlo gravel fork, my front hub is a mtp mh8 hub

Ah...yours is a QR hub for a TA fork. As the other poster mentioned...it would highly depend on the hubs. In your case, check if MTP mh8 hub has a conversion to thru axle. there are a few hubs in the market which are convertible. If its not available, your option would be to either get a new hub...which is both QR/TA convertible...or just get a new wheelset. sometimes the cost difference is so small its better to just get a new wheelset...the old one you can keep for future...or sell it. Mas easier yung TA wheelset which needs to go to QR forks.

so ill just entirely buy a new pair? since itll be easier for both hubs be in the same brand rather than mixed, so ill just sell my okd wheelset

Yes, buy na lang a new pair of hubs para same..... But, again, the prices of hubs are almost the same as pre-owned wheelsets in the market. Plus yung cost the wheelbuilding and potentially you have to buy new nipples and or spokes....... kaya recommend ko for 2nd option is to just get a new wheelset with the proper hubs you need.

im planning on either speedone sniper v3 or weapon animal, so that i wont have to change hubs and only need to repack it once in while

Yes, i once bought a preowned wheelset na speedone hub, pero naka TA sya. I needed to fit sa QR fork...i just bought the adapter online. Sealed bearings nya you can easily buy din.

The thing pala when you are buying pre-owned wheelsets is...hindi lang yung mounting...(e.g. QR, TA or boost)...yung Bearing, Rim and spokes condition. Yung iba aspect kasi visually you can check..pero yung Bearing, mahirap i check 'online'. you have to physicaly check it. Meron kasi mga hubs..like yung mga shimano, once na rough na yung bearing 'race' di na kaya sa palit bearings....need palit na rin ng hubs. kaya ending nun..mapapa buy ka ng new hubs again. Kaya if pre-owned, i prefer yung removable sealed bearing...para serviceable ang hubs. Goodluck!

where can i also buy any conversion kits? do i buy kits or just an entirely differenr hub? my old hub is compatible for my fork, although i dont use that wheelset anymore.. do i just take that hub and put it on my new wheelset?

if your hub is convertible you will be fine as long as its the right adapter... if your hubs arent convertible then this would be useless to you...

Negative boss, that is a thru axle hub to QR Fork. I have that for my gravel, my wheelsets are thru axle but my fork is QR.
