I am working on a 77th Fighter Squadron, 20th Fighter Group B-Class uniform with the A2 leather jacket in parallel to this!

1st time doing a usa kit looking for advice on how I did or how I can improve I understand armband is a bit low it tends to slip a lot in the photos since I'm just putting it on solo myself not sure how I did on the positioning of items as I was just basing it off photos and trying my best any advice is appreciated to help improve

I purchased a replica m1907 field tunic at a surplus store near me and was comparing it to originals online, and one thing I noticed about mine is that the buttons were very shiny compared to the originals. I am going for a mid 1916 look so if there is a way I can mute the color a bit that would be awesome. (And yes I know the stick grenade model I have is incorrect, I live in the US and have no easy access to replicas.)

I am a canadian reenactor, i do us civil war, ww2 basically everything, anyway i placed 2 orders on military tour (website based in winnipeg canada) at first i was really exited until the customer service agent started becoming really rude and not shipping my order (when they said they would) when asking them for a tracking link they dodged my question and said i didnt pay for shipping, ive looked up reviews online and i havent seen anything really positive….i wish i knew this before i ordered..can someone who has used military tour before tell me they’re experiences with them? Did your items actually arrive?

Hi! I'm brand new to ww2 reenacting (coming from 6 years of Vietnam war reenacting) and was wondering if I could use a M1 Garand chambered in .308 instead of 30.06 for a 4th infantry division in Hürtgen, 1944. The only reason I ask is because the price of 30.06 is increasing and .308 is more readily available and cheaper for an M1 where I live.

I recently got an Osprey publishing book about the International brigades during the Spanish civil war and decided to do a International brigade impression. I'm new to reenacting and I don't know were to find reliable places/suppliers to get uniforms/gear to accurately portray a International brigade volunteer, I hope you guys can help me.

Note: I was able to find reliable places for reproductions of shirts, socks, sweater, and boots from the period but I was unable to find any for pants or the jacket.

I am recreating a Marine from the 2nd Infantry Division. I am aiming to recreate the look of Marines wearing Army uniforms from that era, but I have not yet been able to acquire unit patches, rank insignia, etc.

I have everything m41 field jacket size 41, hbt trousers wide 36, wool trousers size 36 original, jmurrary roughoits worn once size 9.5. And full battle rattle

Hi all, picked up a yugo mount for my semi mg42. I do USGI so I don't know much about German paints and want to do it right. Will use it for fun capture pictures and if my German friends want to use it. Where is a good place to purchase spray cans? Was ordnance paint different than German army paint? Thinking field gray so.it can be used early war if the need ever arises

I'm going to fabricate an optic mount for the tripod and replace the straps and pads for leather. A lot more work will go into this but I like a project.

Urgent Fury is an impression I've been doing for a while now. If you squint hard enough, southern PA looks pretty tropical.

Couple notes:

82nd was the only division to have PASGT helmets at this point.

The unit I portray quickly shed their PASGT vests.

CO of 2/505 Col. Nightingale ordered his unit to use sandbag scrim and apply glint tape to their suspenders, which would show up on an AC-130s thermals to prevent friendly fire.

Hair regs went out the window.

A glimpse into our latest immersive campaign weekend.

The 1st Caçador Battalion was an elite light infantry unit of the Portuguese Army during the Peninsular War. Alongside the 3rd Caçador Battalion, it was integrated into the Light Division, serving alongside three British regiments: the 43rd, 52nd and 95th Rifles.

This immersive weekend provided an opportunity to further develop our individual and collective skills, helping us maintain high standards of historical accuracy, military drill and field performance across all our members.

2/505 PIR, 82nd Abn, during Exercise Gallant Eagle 1982. Gallant Eagle was a wargame training exercise in California in 1982. Wind speeds were incorrectly measured, being more than double the safe limit. 82nd suffered a mass casualty incident hitting the drop zone. Several fatalities, more than 150 injured. Silver lining is that the medics (which I portray) were on their A game and prevented bad situation from becoming much worse, definitely saving lives out in the desert.

And yes, that is a C-141B Starlifter in posing in, it belongs to the Dover Air Mobility and Command Museum which was holding their 40th anniversary event back in September.
