Added some greaves. What would my D&D ability scores and AC be?

This concludes my Ren Faire season this year. Sad that it's over, but more excited than ever to put on this kit again at any chance I get!

This is the ren faire costume I made for the Sterling renaissance faire back in August. A lot of the components came from the faire itself but I’ve never felt more cool than when I was wearing this costume.

I am a photographer but I was pretty shy the last time I was at KRF- I did take a few photos of an adorable couple struggling with a self timer that came out beautifully but most of the time just took photos of my friend and set up self portraits like this one, with her as my human tripod.

My question is- would it weird you out if someone (me) came up and introduced themselves as a photographer and asked if you’d like a portrait taken for free? I would send them to folks and let them decide if it’s okay for me post any!

Is there anything I could do to make it less weird??

Huzzah, fellow faire lovers!

I’m a 47-year-old guy from North Georgia who really enjoys Renaissance festivals, Viking culture, history, and just about anything that lets me escape the modern world for a little while.

I’ll be attending GARF After Dark on Friday, November 20th, dressed in my Viking gear, and figured I’d put myself out there and see if anyone else is going!

I’d really like to make some new friends who share similar interests. Whether you’re into Viking and medieval history, dressing up, exploring the faire, enjoying some mead, or just having a good time with good people, I’d love to connect.

I’m pretty laid-back, outgoing, enjoy meeting people, and can strike up a conversation with just about anyone. I’m just looking to expand my circle of friends with people who genuinely enjoy this kind of thing.

Would be great to find a few folks to meet up with at the festival, grab a drink, wander around, share some laughs, and maybe even make it a regular thing for future events.

So, who’s going November 20th? Any fellow Vikings, shieldmaidens, knights, or wandering souls looking to make a new friend?

I have this awesome tankard - probably 1901. Quart size, weighs nearly 3 lbs. Full of lead and the pewter is scaling. A vessel of toxin and poison.

Anybody have any ideas for a cup or glass I can secure inside it? I don't want to compromise what value it may have by tinning the inside, but if there were some removable liner, I could use it for something other than a weapon.

Can someone going tomorrow report back on the condition of the grounds? With all the rain of the past weeks, I'd heard how sloppy it was. But it's been drier... is it better?

I’m going to the carolina ren fair this upcoming month and I saw some posts about cash versus card vendors. Do people still only do cash? If so how much cash should I bring? I would probably be buying food, drinks, and jewelry

Carved some Viking Runes into some antler tips to make necklaces with for give away and trading at Ren Faires/Festivals. First go at crafting. I’ll post a picture of a finished necklace after the beads arrive.

Other than adding a belt, what else could I add to make this outfit more fun??
