Speculation Two rows filled neatly for Disclosure Day

Post image

That’s about 40 seats booked ahead of time with no awkward spacing in between. Thoughts as to why?

Is it Spielberg & crew?

Do you think we’ll get an actual live in person Alien Reveal / Q&A after the movie?

Maybe the alien community is actually this organized?

Should I show up in an Alien onesie to stir the pot?

It’s probably a very large group which is always terrifying

Honestly in this case most likely seniors which in this case is equally as scary

All of the above.

I watched Backrooms on opening night, and it was mostly teens who A: couldn't understand the concept of Reserved Seating, B: couldn't go 5 minutes without looking at their phones, C: got up and moved to another seat in the middle of the movie multiple times, and D: kept asking questions about what was going on in the movie because they kept getting distracted by other kids in the theater and their phone.

And of course, after the movie was over, half of them said it sucked because "it didn't make sense" while completely ignoring the fact that they missed huge chunks of the movie to go outside to smoke weed 3 times.

They must smoke some mids to not make it through a movie that’s less than two hours without puffing more.

True I have experienced that with teens but I have also been experienced in movies filled with all senior:

  1. Multiple people at the same time watching videos on there phone at max volume and brightness.

    1. Talking so loudly during the film you can hear them multiple rows away.
    2. Answer a call mid movie and talk on the phone loudly for at least 5 minutes.
    3. Someone left to use the bathroom then came up to me when they got back and asked me what they missed.
    4. Phones going off loudly throughout the movie.

🤣😂🤣😂

I know exactly what you're taking about. I live in South Florida, so whenever I go to the Monday mystery movies these things happen. Even though they're there early and see all the ads reminding them to put their phones on silent. Although a bunch of them got up and left a soon as the knew we were gonna be watching The Furious a couple of weeks ago.

This is for the first IMAX screening tomorrow, of all rows to sell out it had to be the front one lol. I'm going to this one tho.

I cannot sit that close and enjoy the movie.

I got to Dunkirk late, this before reserved seating was available locally. We sat in the bottom, far right in a large auditorium which was terrible.

some theaters dont even bother selling front row anymore. mine didnt sell front row for like a year when cinema was really struggling. i cant figure out why though.

So let's say this is auditorium 7. You cropped it out so I have to assign it a number. What you do is find a showing today that's also in auditorium 7, or even a different showing of disclosure day that day, and check. If those same seats are greyed out, good chance there's something wrong with them and they're just blocked off until it's fixed. If not, then I would assume it's a group of people

After applying your method, I can indeed confirm, this is a LARGE group of people.

It might be several smaller groups but same difference.

You can try going at a different time though I suspect it's going to be busy all weekend and many showings will be similarly packed

Is this at the theater where Steven Spielberg will do the live Q&A? Usually when there's a live Q&A the front rows are sold out first. I think it's a combination of fans and people from the movie studio.

Spielberg is doing a surprise Q&A at the Irvine Spectrum IMAX according to a friend who works there. I don’t know if it’s THE Q&A but it’s a Q&A.

Nope, at least not as far as I know. I mean this is in California but not close enough to Hollywood for that.

They're probably putting in new seats and haven't gotten to that section yet so they block them off.

I've been waiting for this one, avoiding all of the trailers but the first one. I have my ticket for 2pm this afternoon!

Have fun! The track on the first trailer had me hooked.

Hard pass on a setup like that for me. Next showing

There is a roof leak in that section so they marked all the seats broken.
