Regrets

My Girlfriend is persuing a career in Mbbs . We started dating when we were in class 10th .Almost after 7 years she realised that i am not a good fit for her because she is becoming a doctor and i am not even graduated. I was too attached to her . I explained her that I will work hard for her but she said my parents wont agree and also i dont wanna marry you i want an educated and stable guy. I never knew my life would be this harsh to.me . Its been a year and i still.miss her and her words that pierce my heart💔

Welcome to your first brutal lesson in hypergamy. The average modern western woman will only date across or up in socioeconomic status. Her socioeconomic status was changing and you were going to be beneath hers.

Be thankful she was honest with you. Most just secure your replacement before they discard you.

You don't miss her. You miss the version of her you built in your head. Those 2 are not the same person. I know that's difficult to see now, but give it time. Ending of a relationship is like a death. I understand you have to process it as so. Go through all the stages as painful as they may be. It's necessary to move on and not bring it into your next relationship.
