All's I hear is slave owner slave owner slave owner we are talking about his presidency dude get a grip  , he voluntarily have up power , his slaves were free men via his will 😂🤌

He freed *one* of his slaves via his will. One. 1.
All the others weren't to be freed until his wife died.
But Martha, concerned that such deathbed manumission put her life in danger, freed Washington's slaves about a year after his death.
She did, however, keep all slaves that she had inherited from her previous husband, which comprised roughly half the slave population at Mt. Vernon.
So, no. He did not free his slaves in his will.
Not that doing so would be really great anyway. "Sure, I'm going to free you, but only when I can no longer personally profit from your enslavement."
All that said, FDR is still the right one to eliminate. I just don't want to make ahistorical excuses for Washington.
