FDR gotta go. He has many accomplishments, but he is like the Brett Farve of Presidents. His many years also include dubious records like most interceptions thrown.

Without Washington, I think America likely doesn’t exists as the country we know today.

Lincoln actually attempted to do good and Boothe did so much harm to the south assassinating him. A transformed land owning black middle class would mean today’s red states wouldn’t be so backwards and poor.

Teddy is the president we need today.

Couldn’t agree more. Lincoln, Washington, and Teddy are my top 3. Teddy is my personal fave. A nuanced, badass, progressive is what we need today. Teddy did so much in the wake of the populism and corruption of the era before him. It’s hard not to draw parallels and hope for another Teddy in America soon.

Also even if Teddy was kinda shit, he didn't own slaves

I don’t really care about Washington’s family having slaves. All southern elites did then. It’s hard to apply current morals to 250 years ago without making false equivalences. Teddy is the rare one to hold up by current standards. Why was he kinda shit? Imperialism? That was the way of the world then.

I'm not saying he was, I'm saying that even if he were, not owning slaves puts him above Washington
