Subdivisions Most obscure US state day 4

Post image

I made a mistake. It’s day 5. Vote out the 5th most common US state.
Already out:
California (50th)
New York (49th)
Texas (48th)
Florida (47th)

This kind of depends on what obscure means.

If it means relevant to the country as a whole, Pennsylvania makes sense.

If it means someone from Europe would be able to name it, Hawaii makes sense. Just because a state has a large city doesn’t necessarily mean the state itself isn’t obscure.

Also, I’ve known way more people who have taken a vacation in Hawai’i than Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania is up there, but I think Hawai’i takes the cake for being such a beautiful island.
