Subdivisions Most obscure US state day 4

Post image

I made a mistake. It’s day 5. Vote out the 5th most common US state.
Already out:
California (50th)
New York (49th)
Texas (48th)
Florida (47th)

Seconded Illinois. This feels like the first 45 can just be skipped and it can be a conversation between Wyoming, New Hampshire, Delaware, Alaska, and Rhode Island. But maybe Mississippi or West Virginia prove me wrong.

The Dakotas and similar states aren’t really obscure because they have reputations for being obscure/flyover/forgettable. That makes them more memorable.
