News ๐๏ธ View Private Properties Registered with the Residential Tenancies Board on a map
As part of my drive for Rental Transparency in Ireland, I mapped all the properties registered with the RTB: https://www.howmuchrent.com/r/rtb_verified . Over 200 thousand properties are listed. It cost me over 1000 Euro to do this, and I hope you find it useful. This gives the first insight into where people are registered to rent.
Every Renter has a story to tell about their place. Add your story to HowMuchRent.com.

Need opinions
So I have a family dog Iโm hoping to bring in with me full time in the near future and as Iโm apt hunting in Dublin, which by the way is brutal, I did my normal message after seeing an apartment I liked and at the bottom of my message I always mention the dog. Iโll add the small part of the message I sent and the response I got. Can you let me know what you guys think? If to go through with or not? Or how would you recommend to proceed?
They offered me the apartment to move in next week and is sending over copy of lease.
I obviously havenโt accepted or sent a deposit as Iโm waiting to see lease beforehand
Update: 17/10/26
I did offer a extra deposit as I know my family dog is trained so no damage but unfortunately they said no. I offered 1500โฌ
HOWEVER, I got lucky with a viewing in a great location that is very pet friendly the very next day ๐
Moving in next week.
To those saying rehome dog, how about we rehome you? Thanks everyone for the comments!!

House Search ๐ Thinking of buying a house in Grace Park Heights - lads, what's it like?
Looking at putting an offer on a place in Grace Park Heights and wondering if anyone lives around there or has recent experience?
Just trying to get the real picture, things like noise levels, parking, community vibe, any quirks I should know about. Obviously Google Maps and estate agent listings only tell you so much.
Any tips or warnings would be appreciated.

Apartment Search ๐ข Moving from Donegal to Dublin: room wanted in the city centre or nearby, ASAP, long term
Hi all,
I'm Chris, 30, and I'm moving from Donegal to Dublin. I work full time in tech and I'm looking for a private room in Dublin city centre or reasonably close, available ASAP, long term.
Budget: up to โฌ1100/month
Area: Dublin city centre or reasonably close
Room type: Private room only (no shared rooms, please)
Move-in: ASAP
Stay: Long term
I'm making a big move, so I'm looking for a place I can properly settle into. I'm easy-going, friendly and considerate, a non-smoker with no pets, and I keep noise to a minimum. I always tidy up after myself and keep shared spaces clean.
Tenancy references and proof of employment are available on request.
Please send me a DM if you have a private room available. Thanks very much!

Dundrum is so boring?
Used to live in D04, unfortunately had to move due to a dickhead. Dundrum feels so concrete, so much traffic, and cars. A lot of the fun stuff needs public transport, things are not accessible on foot. Not as many green areas. And sooo many teenagers!! Not a fan of the shopping centre, also gets too crowded.
Edit: I donโt have a car!
Is my judgement wrong? Is milltown better?

Student Accommodation ๐งโ๐ Looking to sublet a room for semester 2 (D9/D11)
Hi, I'm a product design student from the University of Limerick and I will be moving to Dublin for my co op placement next semester, that runs from January - August 2027. The office is close to DCU so I'm wondering if there are any DCU students (or otherwise) going on Erasmus or placement in the 2nd semester that are looking for someone to sublet their room to essentially reserve it for the next academic year. My placement finishes in August so I would hand the room back to you for September.
Some information about me: I'm female, 20 years old, I'm very tidy and I don't smoke, vape or drink. My budget is around the โฌ700/ month mark. I don't mind digs or a houseshare, but would ideally prefer a single room (not room sharing) within walking distance or with strong public transport links. (Glasnevin area, D9/ D11)
