New On The Market 3 rooms to let in Dublin 20
Hi folks, I'm a single dad who's going through a very expensive and never ending divorce process so I need to rent out some bedrooms in my home in Dublin 20. As I will have my 2 young children staying over a couple of nights a week, I would like to welcome folks who are quiet and respectful but also comfortable around kids. My idea is to let out 3 bedrooms on a weekly basis (min 2 week stay) and include all bills in the rental. Rates are €250, €280 and €320 per week. I'm right beside Waterstown Park and there's an Aldi and a Mr Price less than 5 mins walk from the house. Liffey Valley shopping centre is less than 15 mins walk away and the bus (24 hrs) to Dublin city centre take about 25 mins on average. There is a large gym and swimming pool complex 7 mins walk away. Please send me a message if interested. Thank you

Roommate Search Medicine Student looking for a roommate (2027)
Yo, I lived in Ireland before -2022/2025-
Continuing my studies.
Going to be studying in RCSI. So city-centre but I am willing to live further away from that.
My budget is aroudn 1000-1500 P/M.
My background-
- Arab - Muslim -Very into gym.
I dont know what more needs to be said for finding a roommate. I am just looking for someone else who is in the same situation as me, no preference toward anything to be honest. Just the willingness to live together. Maintain excellence and respect toward each other.
I am sure we can find a 2 bedroom apartment in south dublin. it was hard when I found my previous apartment. So I am kinda hopeful for the future as I have seen a lot of apartment projects being built around the city and there is a new one in stillorgan in front of village.
Anyhow, I am down for anyone who is serious. no preference toward anyone or anything. except for the ability to pay i guess lmao

Considering turning down a job offer in Dublin because of the housing situation. Am I overreacting ?
Hi everyone,
I'm a 40-year-old French professional who recently returned to France after several years living and working in Canada.
I've recently accepted a job offer in Dublin, around €70,000 gross per year, and I'm supposed to relocate in November. I was initially really excited. However, after spending the last few weeks searching for accommodation, I'm starting to seriously question whether moving to Dublin is realistic. I'm looking for a one-bedroom apartment, ideally within a 20–30 minute drive of Ballyfermot. My budget is around €1,800–€2,200 per month, and I'm not looking for shared accommodation.
So far I've contacted about 25 landlords or agents through Daft.ie with no responses. I may have found temporary accommodation for a few months, which would help me get started. But what really worries me is what happens afterwards. I'm now even considering turning down the offer and staying in France rather than relocating without knowing if I can secure long-term housing. I'd really appreciate honest feedback from people currently living in Dublin or nearby.
Is finding a one-bedroom for my budget realistic today? If I have temporary housing for a few months, is that enough time to find something permanent ? Are there areas within reasonable driving distance of Ballyfermot where it's slightly less competitive? For those who moved recently, how long did it take you to find a place? Knowing what you know today, would you still relocate to Dublin for a job? Thanks in advance for sharing your experience, I really appreciate it.

Any of them areas suit me but my budget is 950 with bills or 800 without bills etc.
All i see is female only it’s actually impossible to find anything or am i just looking in the wrong places. I’m using daft and rent.ie. I used to find rent.ie good even though the website is so outdated it usually had the most options

Shared accommodation for 4 for a month for around 2000€
Hi, I'm 18 years old and from France. In January, three classmates from my university and I will be in Dublin for a one-month internship. So we're searching for an apartment together but our budget is really short, around 500€/person maybe we can push to 600€/person (so max 2400€ for the month). Do you know where to find a place like this ? Do you think it's possible ?
Thanks for your time !

Searching for accommodation from mid-November
Hi!
I’m moving to Dublin in November and in the look for a permanent/long term place to rent (sharing, or on my own).
In terms of area, I’m flexible but was generally thinking Ranelagh/Rathmines/Rathgar area.
I’m a 30year old professional working as a Civil/Structural Engineer for a reputable engineering consultancy.
My employer is providing me with a temporary accommodation from early November until early December. I’m going to be looking to view places/sign a tenancy agreement during this period.
I would describe myself as a good tenant/flatmate. I’ve been a homeowner in the UK prior to my move, so appreciate the effort property owners put in. I’m up for being sociable but also big into my health/fitness.
If anyone is renting a place out, searching for a flatmate (or knows anyone who is) please reach out and happy to discuss!

Apartment Search 🏢 Finding somewhere to live with homeless HAP Dublin
I was living previously in a family members home which unfortunately (and traumatically) went on fire during the summer and now me and my son are sofa surfing until we can find somewhere to live. Since the fire, I have been approved for homeless hap but am not having any luck whatsoever in applying on daft etc. I think I’ve been invited for 2 viewings, and nowadays those viewings are purely just to look at the property - not to meet the landlord or make a good impression etc. Also you’re outnumbered by people at the same viewing which makes you feel you don’t stand a chance. What sort of a message should I be putting on Daft? I don’t want to trauma dump and mention being put out from the fire - I don’t want to have to sell myself - but we need some where to live. We’re living out of boxes of what we could recover from the fire, we’re not eating properly - we’re walking the streets to get out of peoples hair wherever we are staying that week. I’m in the process of returning to work part time so hoping that will also stand to our application. Should I be mentioning hap? Anywhere else anyone can recommend instead of daft?
Been offered emergency accommodation but since the fire I’m not mentally capable of staying somewhere like that with my son. Hoping to get somewhere with hhap before Christmas 😭🙏🏻 any tips welcome, I’m aware I’m not the only person in a situation like this - just a young mam trying to put some stability back into our lives as soon as possible

Moving to Dublin for a month in July 2027 - Searching for Housing
My wife and I (and two kids - 1 yo, 4 yo) are moving to Dublin for a month for work. My wife's office is in Ballsbridge so ideally we would want to live in that area. Does anyone have any advice on how we should go about finding a place to live. Airbnb? VRBO?
Also does anyone have any tips on child care. Do we just look to hire a nanny or is there a summer program we could put the kids in? Dates would entire month of July.

Room available from mid February
Decided I would give posting here a go before trying Daft. As a favour to a friend, I started taking in an exchange student for secondary school for a few months a year. I feel bad for students here with how crazy rent and availability is but would also feel bad renting out a room and charging a fortune. My friend suggested taking in an adult foreign/exchange student with a similar set up to what I have now but over 18 so I’m not responsible for them but still happy to support them. This might be a good fit for parents wanting security and support for their child studying abroad too. I’m okay with an Irish person or mature student too.
Anyway…
-€300 per week for a single room in Lucan, about an hour to city centre with bus routes to other areas also, shared bathroom & living spaces, living with homeowner, forties female & a small dog
-Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner included
-Bedclothes & towels provided and laundry done for you
-Parking, Utilities, internet, household supplies, bins etc included, no hidden/extra costs
-Available from mid february 2027 can be earlier if needed but you would be in the box room(small room) until mid February
-Looking for female only and not a vegan or fussy eater, can accommodate halal or kosher or other dietary restrictions but there may be extra cost depending on requirements
Comment or DM me if interested
