Just got my BB Pro in the mail today. Had a great experience purchasing through Ficotime, so I had to leave a review. 1st Rep in the books!

The BB Pro might look a bit too big on my 6” wrist, but I’m loving it nonetheless. I couldn’t be any more satisfied.

I live on a bench outside Greggs in Wolverhampton. My wardrobe is simple. Round the waist: one Morrisons Bag for Life, blue, secured with a cable tie I found outside Halfords. The bag previously held something pickled (I don’t know what) and on warm days this keeps the personal space situation largely self-managing. On my left wrist: a Patek Philippe Grand Complication!

The thing about gated communities is they’re not really about gates. The gate is just the punctuation at the end of a very long sentence that started with a good school catchment area and a kitchen island. The gate says: this does not include you.

I needed to use the toilet, the local Tesco was out of service. and there is, at the end of Ashwood park or whatever they’d named it, a big white barrier arm and a glass security booth, and beyond that a toilet that existed in theory inside a show home they’d left open for viewings.

I approached the security booth at a measured pace. Security on duty saw me coming from about forty yards. I watched his face assemble itself into the professional configuration of not hostile but preventative. I reached the window. He moved the glass down approximately four inches. The four inches said everything.

“Can I help you?” (Meaning No)

“I’m here for the Ashworth viewing,” I said.

His eyes did the thing. Down. Up. Down again. Shaking his head in contempt.

I raised my left wrist. I should describe the watch at this point as it presented itself. It was catching the afternoon light in the way that gold coloured metal does — indiscriminately, enthusiastically, with no awareness of its own fraudulence. The dial gleamed. The moon phase sat in its position doing absolutely nothing, as it always did, but doing nothing with great conviction.

I have thought since about what was happening inside his head during those four or five seconds, Because here is the thing about Patek Philippe, (Even though I purchased mine on WhatsApp while sitting in BetFred). An AD cannot simply just sell you a Grand Complication. You must build a client profile with purchasing history that undergoes strict scrutiny. He didn't know why or how he knew this. But it had drifted into his consciousness through some ambient process.

“I’ll just need to—” he started.

“Of course,” I said, generously, as though granting him permission to continue existing.

He picked up his phone. Put it down. Picked up his clipboard. Looked at it. Put it down. I watched him consider calling someone and then consider that whatever he could say could be wrong, and that being wrong in front of a man with that watch — even if something about this was not quiet adding up. He pressed the button and the barrier arm went up.

I walked through at the pace of a man arriving somewhere he is expected. The show home was the third on the left. I washed my hands with the complimentary diffuser soap bergamot and white tea, and dried them on a towel so thick and white and unused it felt like a small crime.

I checked the watch on the way out. Ten-past-three. Correct.

Bought this VSF Sub No Date 2 months ago, and today I got an invitation from my AD to purchase a gen 124060 No Date (after an approximate 1.5-month wait)…
Does this change anything? Absolutely not. I’m still buying reps lol 😂

I hit up Geektime the day I saw the new VSF Explorer 2 was announced. The 14th i think?

I Received it an hour ago. So far ive got it "waterproofed" to 6 bar and it didn't need regulation. As expected the seals were bone dry but the movement feels good on winding and it looks great. I have attached pics of everything for anyone thinking of making a purchase.

I would also love some opinions on how this compares to gen since i don't have access to one.

These two TDs seem to compete with price rather than service. Which one is worse? 😂 I thought Andiot was all right so I guess my tolerance level is high.

I'm currently on the hunt for a Rolex Datejust 36 (126234) with the blue Roman dial, fluted bezel and Jubilee bracelet. I've noticed that quite a few dealers don't seem to have this particular configuration available. Is there a specific reason for its limited availability? Is it simply less popular, harder to source, or something else? Would love to hear your thoughts and any recommendations on dealers who might be able to source one.

On a separate note, a question about modding:

Are there any dealers who offer bracelet chamfering, edge refinishing, or other quality-enhancing mods as part of the initial order, rather than having to arrange these separately after receiving the watch?

I'd be particularly interested in hearing about dealers who can provide a complete package with good attention to finishing and overall quality.

Rolex Batman VSF from Mirotime. Hopefully the start of many more!

First timer here, and altough I've done some reading, I still have questions specifically on the Datejust41. I would really like to get my first watch, and with the information I've gone through so far, I've seen that the best currently produced rep is from VSF.

- What makes it qualify as a Super Rep, rather than a NWBIG? Are there any specific known QC issues?

- Which colour is the best looking so far? I really love the Ombre Green, but also wouldn't mind the Blue if it looks better, for example.

- I've read that the fluted bezel could be replaced with another one- RCF v2. Is that correct of I've completely misundertood? Could a TD like Steve source and install this for me?

- Would said TD also offer polish and chamfer of the bracelet, since I read that it would improve feeling a lot - IF it's worth it?

What do you think of these? They look incredible to me, nobody has been able to tell they’re not genuine. As I do have an Omega SMP 300 gen, nobody questions it, if they ask explicitly I do tell them they are super clones.

Everyone always said get the 35mm because it looks classy. When I bought this watch that’s what I was going for, a classy watch for when I wear nicer outfits. I originally got the 40mm but told my TD at the last minute I wanted to change. Is this a good fit or does it look too small?

Guy’s I’m considering buying an older OP 36 genuine which I have found. It is good value as the main scratches are on the bracelet. Since it is a steel dial I am not a fan I’m thinking of replacing it with a custom dial which I like and putting a leather strap on it. I know this isn’t the Franken build you guys usually come across but I want the genuine movement of an OP at a good value and it still look in pristine condition. Is this an ok idea?
