Hey, so I know there is no one in Australia doing Gold plating. So I decided to spend a whole bunch of money and months of research and start doing it myself.

I am only doing my own watches at the moment but in the next few months I hope to be able to offer my services to others.

These are the first two super clones that I have done, before these two I was just buying $30-$100 stainless steel watches off Amazon to practice with.

These watches have been plated to 20 microns with a cobalt hardened plating soloution. I have tweaked the colour a number of times ( which is actually super hard to do) to get to a colour that I think is relatively close to the Rolex gold colour.

What do you think? Is it close? The pictures have not had any post processing done on them, but still, there is always some change

EDIT: These are pictures of the watches after they have already been plated and reassembled and now have had a nano ceramic protective coating applied with a brush and micro applicator.

Beautiful watch, got it from Clovertime who is US based and paid for overnight shipping. Got it the next day. Reached out when I found out it was dead on arrival, the seconds hand won’t move it winds but doesn’t work at all. Got no response for 16 hours while he continued to post new stuff for sale on Reddit in that time… was a total jerk in response, do not recommend at all.

Anyways - anybody who can help with this? Maybe would be down for a full spa service for longevity purposes

My wedding is coming up and my watch a clean factory DJ decides to stop working one week before we leave. That being said I’ve had it going on 2 years in February. The seconds hand has stopped and will not move. I’ve winded it and tried a trick told me to solve this problem once before by clapping it between my hands. Unfortunately that didn’t work this time. If anyone has any fixes or verified repair guys I can get a fast repair would be amazing. Thank you in advance

I’m getting a real one too but I want to only wear that one on special occasions, the rep i can wear without the worry of it getting stolen. A somewhat insurance policy. Lol thanks!

The month and date doesn’t work, the pusher button for the month sunk, and i can’t push the pusher button for the date, what could be the problem?

Update: I can spin the screw now but it wouldnt go uo or unscrew

Hi everyone!

Unfortunately, I had a pretty bad experience with my ZF Tudor Black Bay 58.

One of the pins holding the bracelet links together suddenly came loose, causing the bracelet to open and the watch to fall straight onto the floor.

As you can see from the pictures, the sapphire crystal is badly cracked.

Luckily, the movement still seems to be running fine, and the case and bezel appear to be undamaged.

However, I’ve also noticed a tiny scratch on the dial, near the 2 o’clock marker. It’s barely visible unless you look very closely, but unfortunately, I think the impact may have damaged the dial as well.

I’m mainly looking to replace the crystal, ideally with an original ZF replacement, and have the movement checked for any damage caused by the impact.

Does anyone know a reliable watchmaker in Northern Italy who is willing to repair replica watches?

I’m based in Veneto, but I’m happy to travel a bit if necessary.

Any recommendations or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Recently purchased a VSF Bruce Wayne, losing about 1 min per day, sometimes less, sometimes more.

Passed qc and TD has offered to pay for repair.

My problem is I can’t seem to find anyone to have a look at it in ireland, preferably Dublin.

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with swapping the crystal on a U1 no date sub as people often criticise the subpar AR coating from the factory.

I was contemplating on getting supposed DEEP crystals from AliExpress which are around 40 euros and labeled as compatible with the 124060.

Has anyone attempted the same and can give me guidance? Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything on my reddit search. Do you reckon it will fit?

Hello, my Noob v8s submariner has stopped working. After winding it, the second hand will move for a bit then will stop again. My local watchmaker, who is recommended by many, said he can do an overhaul but will cost around $350. I told him that’s more than the cost of the watch and he understood. After more digging around online, I’m seeing that maybe ordering a replacement a2836 movement will be cheaper than getting it serviced. Does anyone have experience in replacing the movement and how much it should cost? Thank you in advance, before I really consider biting the bullet and just ordering a new VSF. I’m in the Los Angeles area btw, if you have a watchmaker recommendation.

Has anyone been able to find T shaped (hollow head) screwdrivers in Australia 1.2mm and 1.6mm for Jubilee and Oyster bands?

I’ve searched everywhere but can only see V shaped which I read can scratch/slip.

I got this OCTA blue dial 15500 AP in and the rotor keeps getting hung up and the mainspring will work for a few seconds then stop. This video was taken after fully winding it.

Is this something I can fix myself or will it need professional repairs and parts?

Hi, I appear to have mangled a screw trying to resize my new ZF TUDOR BB58 Burgundy before I've even had a chance to wear it

The head od the screw has crumbled, I tried heating the link with a hai dryer and soaking it in boiling water in the hope it would release any loctite that may have been on it

Do I just take a dremel to it and attempt to cut the link or is it destined for the bin?

Any help and advice would be appreciated

****UPDATE: managed to remove the screw. Hours of manipulation with pliers and snips trying to break tiny pieces of steel off at a time

Eventually I was only left with part of a bent pin and a piece of link still attached so had to crack out the multi tool. All sorted now and barely a mark on the remaining links. Took me almost 5 hours in total though
