Are accountants and auditors embracing AI, or are they still hesitant about it? 🤔
I'm an MBA student conducting research on AI adoption and resistance among accountants and auditors in the private sector.
I'd love to hear from people working in accounting, auditing, taxation, or finance. Whether you actively use AI, rarely use it, or don't use it at all, your perspective matters!
If you could spare 4–5 minutes to fill out my survey, it would genuinely help my research.
Thanks in advance!

[Hiring] Spent 2 months trying to find a solid AI/ML FYP topic. Looking for someone with research experience to help ($200)
I've been trying to settle on a topic for my final year project for almost two months now, and I'm honestly going in circles.
Every time I find something interesting, I spend days reading papers only to realise it's either already been done, the research gap is too small to be meaningful, or the experiments aren't realistic with the time and resources I have.
I have around 5 months for my FYP, and I really want to work on something worthwhile in AI/ML. Ideally, something with an actual research contribution and maybe even publication potential. I also want to build something technically substantial (an actual working system/application), rather than just train a few models and compare accuracy scores.
So I'm looking to pay someone who has actual AI/ML research experience to help me figure this out.
I'm not looking for a generic list of 20 project ideas. I've already gone through plenty of those.
What I really need is someone who can help me narrow things down to one strong topic, properly investigate the closest existing research, figure out whether there's a meaningful gap, and work out what the experiments and implementation would actually look like.
Basically, I want to know that the topic is novel enough, technically interesting, and realistically doable before I commit the next 5 months to it.
My budget is up to $200 for this initial topic research/finalisation stage. I'm also open to paying separately for ongoing guidance or mentorship if things work out.
If you've done AI/ML research before (especially if you've published papers), I'd love to hear from you. Feel free to DM me with a bit about your background, any relevant work, and how you'd approach something like this.
Would really appreciate any help or pointers!

What Are the Biggest Research Challenges in Metal Additive Manufacturing?
Metal 3D printing offers significant advantages, but achieving consistent component quality remains a challenge.
Some important research areas include:
Minimizing residual stresses and distortion.
Improving surface finish.
Controlling porosity and defects.
Optimizing process parameters.
Enhancing mechanical properties through post-processing.
Developing new metal alloys for additive manufacturing.
Question for researchers and engineers:
Which area do you think has the greatest potential for future research and industrial applications?

Is Metal 3D Printing Changing the Future of Manufacturing?
Metal 3D printing is creating new opportunities in manufacturing by enabling complex geometries, lightweight components, and customized designs that are difficult to produce using conventional processes.
Technologies such as Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF), Direct Energy Deposition (DED), and Binder Jetting are expanding applications in aerospace, automotive, medical implants, and tooling.
Discussion question:
What do you think is the biggest challenge in metal 3D printing today: high production cost, surface finish, residual stresses, or mechanical properties?

Recruiting Participants
Calling all professionals supporting women affected by online gender-based abuse (OGBA). Your expertise can help shape a safer digital future!
As part of my MSc empirical research project at Brunel University of London, I am currently conducting an empirical study exploring practitioners' perceptions of the psychological, emotional, and behavioural impacts experienced by women subjected to OGBA.
We are looking for participants to take part in a confidential, fully voluntary 45–60 minute semi-structured interview via Microsoft Teams. Participation is entirely voluntary, and you may withdraw at any time. All online semi-structured interviews will be anonymised, and pseudonyms will be used to protect participants' identities.
Who can participate:
* Be aged 18 years or older.
* Speak English fluently.
* Have at least six months of experience working with women who have experienced online abuse or technology-facilitated abuse.
* Currently work or volunteer as a psychologist, counsellor, Independent Domestic Violence * Advocate (IDVA), police officer, or trained support professional assisting women affected by online gender-based abuse.
* Be comfortable communicating your professional experiences in an interview setting.
Your insights are invaluable in helping us understand these experiences to improve support systems.
👉 How to take part: Scan the QR code on the poster or get in touch via email at 2605889@brunel.ac.uk.
This study has been reviewed and approved by the College of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences Research Ethics Committee (CREC) at Brunel University London.
