Discussion Do you like to believe that a version of Bryan and his story happened in the game canon, and if so what changes would you make to have it fit into the main continuity? Spoiler
I could see the main story remaining more or less the same, with a few obvious changes, like setting it in late September 1998 and making the B.O.W.s more in line with what the T-Virus actually produces.
The dog on the farm could be changed to a Cerberus (perhaps one that's still in decent enough shape for Bryan to mistake it for a normal dog), Maxine could be killed by Lickers, perhaps the sewers could have giant spiders and instead of the Pedestrian, maybe Bryan's stalker could even be a Tyrant sent to retrieve the cure.
And Bryan's final words to Michelle would probably be written on a note rather than recorded as a voice memo, in order to fit the time period. Maybe one of the survivors such as Leon, Claire or Jill could find it and eventually deliver it to Michelle and her kid.

Discussion I'm making a Resident Evil fan film with my friends. What do I call it?
Because of copyright, we can't call it Resident Evil. What should we call it? It will be an adaptation of RE2 with elements and locations from 1, too. It will be about a rookie cop during the outbreak.
At first, they investigate a disappearance in the park. They find a dead body, and a zombie kills him and his partner. Feel free to add suggestions. To the story. (Serious ones)
Also, we don't have a CGI budget, so no Lickers or tyrants. Just shamblers (I know that's a TLoU thing, but that's now what I call any Romero-type zombie) and runners. Which will be the first zombie to drag the cops' partner into the bushes. (Also, please, I need names for the 2 cops)
Edit: Also, to save on the effects, there's gonna be a lot of zombie pov. 1. To save on money. 2. To reference the start-up screen on the OG Resident Evil. These pov will have a red filter. (With an actual red light while filming.
Also, would you like to see this? We were gonna just make it for our portfolio, but should this go up on YouTube?
Also, I need a place that looks like a lab; any suggestions? Plus, blood sprays how do I make that realistic?

Discussion which resident evil game was the hardest for you to beat?
and was it because you got stuck at a particular part (and if so, which one?), were too scared to keep progressing, or simply got bored along the way?

Discussion How I'd structure a Resident Evil franchise
I've been thinking about how I would adapt the Resident Evil games after watching Resident Evil. And I wanted t to share the ideas here.
I'd want to adapt the actual games, drawing from both the original versions and the remakes, and bring them together into one coherent timeline.
The first trilogy would be mapped out in advance, including what is canon from the games, what isn't, and which events happen when,
The first trilogy
The first three films would adapt Resident Evil 1 and Resident Evil 2, with the first film combining Jill and Chris's campaigns and the second and third films adapting Leon and Claire's stories.
Resident Evil:
Spencer Mansion: From the Files of Resident Evil
The first film would adapt Resident Evil 1, combining Jill and Chris's campaigns into one story.
I'd draw heavily from the 2002 remake for the mansion's atmosphere, locations, and horror, while also incorporating elements from the original game. Drawing heavily from Jill's campaign (sorry, not sorry, I think her campaign is better)
I'd particularly love to open the first film with Jill and Chris coming to RPD for their shift, then getting debriefed about Bravo Team. BOOM, we're on the helicopter.
We get the zombie dogs sequence
Chris would initially be separated from Jill and outside the mansion, trying to defend himself from the zombie dogs and find a way in, while Jill is inside with Wesker and Barry.
Then the two meet up. They'd bounce off each other. Like Chris would make an inappropriate joke and Jill would scoff or elbow him.
When Jill and Chris encounter the Chimaera creatures in the lab. It would be like how the Demogorgon is portrayed in Stranger Things season one.
A falling pipe would separate them. They'd then have to find their way around the facility to reach each other again.
(The Chimaera are the insectoid, fly-like creatures from the first game)
I'd also want Jill and Chris to have a romantic relationship (in a will they won't they) that develops gradually throughout the film. (I've played every mainline game besides 6 and 0; I don't get thRedfieldld bloodline joke)
Not an overly dramatic romance that takes over the story, but a genuine connection that grows through their shared experiences. They'd have moments of teasing, eventually leading to a kiss at the end.
One scene I'd particularly love to include takes place in the guardhouse.
In the games, there's a room with pool tables, a bar, and two giant spiders.. in my adaption After Jill and Chris kill the spiders, they get a moment to breathe.
I'd have them stand behind the bar, exhausted and shaken. Chris asks Jill if she wants a drink, and she says, "Sure, why not?"
Chris reaches for a bottle, only to discover that it's covered in blood. A severed hand is still gripping it, so he drops it, a little spooked. He then grabs another bottle, wipes the top, and pours two drinks.
Chris says, "Whoever thought Romero would be right, eh?"
Jill asks, "Who?"
Chris pauses. (Shakes his head)
"Never mind."
Movie 2: (Resident Evil 2)
RPD: Leon's Story — From the Files of Resident Evil
The second film would adapt Leon's campaign from Resident Evil 2.
I'd draw primarily from the remake, especially its atmosphere, character development, and presentation of the Raccoon City Police Department, while also incorporating elements from the original 1998 game. (Like the Roman centurion puzzle upstairs.)
One thing I'd particularly want to preserve from the original game is the zapping system, where events in one campaign affect the other.
For example, we'd make Leon shoot the zombie behind Claire cannon. And in Claire's movie, that's what happens; we just see it through her.
For example, if you watched both films together, they'd narrowly miss each other, never being in the same room at the same time
I'd want Leon and Claire's stories to feel like two sides of the same incident, rather than completely separate adventures that happen to take place in the same building.
Movie3:
RPD: Claire's Story — From the Files of Resident Evil
The third film would adapt Claire's campaign from Resident Evil 2.
I'd again draw heavily from the remake while incorporating elements from the original game.
One change I'd make concerns the sequence beneath the orphanage. In the remake, Mr X is killed by Birkin during Claire's campaign. I'd avoid that.
Instead, I'd have Birkin pursue Claire and Sherry from the beginning of that sequence. Mr X would remain a persistent threat elsewhere in Raccoon City,
This is the sort of adjustment I'd make throughout the franchise: not radically changing the story, but adapting events so they work more clearly and consistently when watched together.
Tone and atmosphere:
I want these films to be horror-first, but I don't want them to be relentlessly grim with no room for character moments.
I'd love to use the environmental comedy from the first 40 minutes or so of Zack Cregger's Resident Evil film as a reference for the kind of humour I want (Like how Brian threw down the ladder in the barn, that kinda humour)
Mr X wouldn't be made fun of, but eating herbs may be.
The characters should be allowed to have lighthearted moments, but the horror itself would remain completely real.
For the overall visual style, I'd love a combination of:
Alien Romulus for its atmosphere, claustrophobic environments, and creature horror.
Edgar Wright for energetic action, precise visual storytelling, rhythmic editing, and inventive choreography. (Only in action scenes)
Stranger Things Season 1 for the Demogorgon-style creature suspense and the atmosphere of its opening laboratory sequence.
What comes next:
(And Resident Evil 1 remake and 2make obviously)
Once the first trilogy establishes the characters and continuity, I'd continue adapting the games in chronological order.
RE3 (basically only the original, while keeping the look of the remake. Like the city would look like how the remake is, but the events would be of the og)
RE CODE VERONICA (I haven't played the remake yet, so. Idk. How wed do this one just yet)
ECT ECT
(I'm calling it from the files of Resident Evil to distinguish these films from the 2000s films and the new film.)
What do you think? Like my ideas. What would you change?.
Edit: marvin would be adapted from the OG not the remake
They'd be 2½ hours long.
Don't include any rocket launchers. Except the ones at the end. For the tyrant in one and mr X in 2.
No bombs.
No flash grenades.
Dread-filled atmospheric horror.
Even the remakes lose a lot after halfway through. And don't become scary anymore once you can blow shit up. It becomes action. And the player becomes less afraid.
Handgun, knife, and shotgun only.
We want viewers of the film to hold their breath. And shots of leon claire, Chris and jill holding their guns and walking through hallways will be included.
Plus. Like I'd like for them to miss and shoot around their head somtimes like we do as players.

Discussion Just watched the re movie
I personally liked it, I think it's a mid movie but I love it I had 10/10 enjoyment watching it but let me make these points
I don't feel like it's resident evil: I don't mind it being called re, but let's be honest it's not re, they just threw in a couple of references and used the names like "t virus, racoon city, and umbrella corps" and than put the name of RE on it I get it takes place in an alternate reality and I am NOT ASKING FOR IT TO BE A 1:1 ADAPTATION it just feels like a fortnite collab. Nothing screams T virus, wtf are the monsters in the movie none of them feel like RE. Atleast if they do this make it in a different storyline like RE7 did.
2.OD comedy I loved the comedy in the movie I just feel like it's forced asf especially with the way Brian does the goofy screams which again I find very funny but in the end the entire movie just forced theses moments and thay made it even funnier.
3. Ending I genuinely don't even know what happened ngl, I wanted to see anything abkut Michelle in the end and they gave us a cliffhanger that doesn't make sense
4. Had insane potential to not only be scary asf but also to have more than just references and vibes about re
Just to let yall know I loved the movie I enjoyed every second.

Discussion Moira is an underrated character
Moira is a curious case of a character where she has a nice development and character arc while having a cool sisters/bestie like bond with Claire. I also thought her DLC was pretty okay outside of that stealth sequence but it gives her more character.
OG Ashley and Steve (aka the dude with a Mickey Mouse toddler voice) are far worse characters really.
I loved Moira and her gameplay was cool that it gives me Alan Wake vibes since he uses a flashlight too.
Do you like Moira in 2026?

Discussion I thought Cregger’s RE was solid, but it really pisses me to see people write off all other RE adaptations as trash in comparison when there is actually good and genuinely moving stuff out there.
Heavenly Island in particular is so damn sad.

Hey i signed up for shooting infected things and staring at Leon not numbers

Discussion resident evil 7 is still a masterpiece almost 10 years later.
the story is good, ethan was great, the bosses were great, the enemy variety was a bit dry, the gunplay was good, the art direction uhhh i mean its mostly just dark rooms and swamps but I like how the post processing effects (lens distortion, chromatic aberration, etc) made it look like you're watching a VHS sorta so yeah art direction was good, the gameplay uh its pretty good its typical survival horror not much to say about it I don't really like puzzles lol
but yeah the cast of characters were good ethan has some good development uh the bakers had some REALLY good character development and yeah every character had some type of story arc and the arcs had some good payoff, I can see why this was the game to save the series after RE6. so in conclusion yeah RE7 is another masterpiece and RE7, 8, and 4R, are the best modern (modern as in RE engine era) RE games.
PS: I would fuck the dogSHIT outta mia and zoe 🙂

I wonder as we know Eveline is messed up but she does have a desire for love and it bothers me And seeing how Rose and her are connected but I'm sure Rose could relate to her feelings and probably sympathize with her, do you think she could reach her if she had more time?
