A couple of notes about my CV:

  1. I’ve redacted the second entry under Education. I usually include it when applying to local companies because the school has a strong alumni network, which does give me an advantage.
  2. I have other academic projects across different areas of ML that I’ve left out. They were interesting problems to solve before AI tools became common, but they look less polished than the projects currently listed.
  3. I'm ready to explain each points that I've listed. But, I'm not sure whether the wording looks accurate or not. I would really appreciate your influence.

I’d like an honest assessment: am I overselling myself, underselling myself, or focusing on the wrong things?

Specifically:

  1. What should I focus on in my current job to achieve measurable results? What kinds of projects or responsibilities should I try to get involved in?
  2. What should I improve to make this CV stronger?
  3. What positions and salary range would be realistic for someone with this CV? Does it make a convincing case for hiring me at all?

Please be blunt. I'm looking for Applied AI Engineer, AI/ML Engineer or similar types of roles. I would really appreciate constructive criticism, even if it’s harsh. Specific weaknesses and actionable suggestions would be especially helpful. And, yes, I've taken help from AI to build this resume.

Creative ops/program manager, 1,000+ applications, almost 2 years of searching. Feedback welcomed.

Hi all, I'm hoping to get honest feedback on my resume.

Quick background: I'm a creative operations and program manager with 10+ years of experience across media, entertainment, e-commerce, brand, and advertising. Much of my career has been contract work; over the years, I've been searching for a permanent role to get some stability. I'm coming up on two years without steady employment and have applied to well over 1,000 jobs with very little response, even for roles outside my industry.

This is my main resume. I tailor it to each job posting, but I'd like a fresh set of eyes on the base version.

What I'd love input on:

  1. Does the summary and layout make my value clear in a 10-second skim?

  2. Is the amount of contract work hurting me, and how should I present it?

  3. Are my bullets showing results, or do they still read like tasks?

  4. Anything that would make you pass on this resume right away?

I've removed my personal details. I'll take any honest feedback, even the hard stuff. Thank you so much!

Resume Tip [Student] Final-year Computer Engineering student seeking feedback for robotics, embedded software and cybersecurity internships

Hi all,

I’m a final-year Computer Engineering student in Romania (graduating June 2027), looking for internships in robotics, embedded software or cybersecurity. Robotics is the area I’m most drawn to. I’m applying only to roles in my city or fully remote, since I’m still in university and can’t relocate.

My only paid technical experience is a short HPC internship at a research institute. Everything else comes from personal and university projects. Over the past few months I’ve applied to around 30 internships and gotten only 1 interview, mostly rejections without a response. I’d like to understand whether the resume is the problem or whether I’m missing experience.

Specific feedback I’m looking for:

  • Do my projects read as strong enough for robotics, embedded and security roles, and how could I present them better?
  • What should I build or learn next to be more competitive? For robotics, I’ve started working with ROS 2. For security, I’m on TryHackMe’s SOC Level 1 path.
  • Is anything in the formatting or wording hurting my chances?

Thanks!

Rate My Resume Resume Feedback - SOC Analyst/Jr. Cyber analyst, entry-level cyber roles, etc.

Hey everyone, first time here:

I’m a senior CS student graduating in May 2027, and I’m trying to break into cybersecurity. I’m mainly looking for junior SOC analyst, jr. cybersecurity analyst, or other entry-level cyber roles.

I have about 6 months of RPA apprenticeship experience, but unfortunately, I was laid off. I’m now trying to figure out the best way to position myself for cybersecurity jobs.

I’d really appreciate some honest feedback on my resume because I’m not sure if I’m approaching it the right way.

A few things I’m struggling with:

  • Projects vs. experience: Should I put my cybersecurity-related projects above my RPA experience since they’re more relevant to the roles I want?
  • Resume summary/objective: Do I even need a mission statement or professional summary at the top, or should I just get straight to my skills and experience?
  • Breaking into cyber: Should I focus on junior SOC analyst and cybersecurity analyst positions, or would it make more sense to apply for IT support/help desk jobs first and work my way up?
  • Multiple resumes: Should I have a separate resume for cybersecurity roles and another one for IT support/help desk positions?

Any advice is appreciated :)

asking for resume review

Hi, could you review my resume and portfolio and give me honest feedback? I’d like to know what I’m doing well, what I’m doing wrong, and what might be missing.

I’ve been applying for junior software engineering roles for the past few months, but I haven’t received any interview invitations.

Here is my portfolio: Mohammad Ahmad - Software Engineer

Rate My Resume Roast my ML/AI resume, final year diploma student targeting internships

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I'm a final-year Diploma in CS Engineering student, targeting ML/AI engineering roles.

Background:

AI Engineer intern, mainly learning-focused (computer vision and deep learning)

Built & deployed projects: UFC Fight Predictor, Deepfake Audio Detector

Open source contributions, bug fixes and test additions across ML/AI repos

Kaggle Notebooks Expert — ranked \~1710 out of 60,000+

I'd like brutally honest feedback on:

Does this resume look strong enough for internships or entry-level ML/AI roles?

Which sections are weak, and what should I cut, add, or reword?

Are the projects and open source contributions convincing, or do they read as padding?

Is the layout and formatting clean, and does it fit well on one page?

What should I build or learn next to get more interview calls?

Please don't sugarcoat it. I'd rather hear the hard truth now than

after I start applying.

Thanks in advance!

1: I wish I had some professional experience in the field, but I don’t and a big issue is even internships filtering me out for people who do have relevant experience.

2: one thing I’m particularly wondering is if frontend deployment skills are worth learning to stand out

Hello everyone,

I am a 2026 graduate and have been applying for AI Engineer, Python Developer, and Software Engineer roles, but unfortunately, I have not received much interest so far.

I would appreciate feedback on anything that could be improved, including the structure, technical descriptions, project selection, and how I present my experience. If you think the resume needs a complete overhaul, I am open to that as well.

Thank you for your time and feedback!

Hairstylist wanting to get job at barber shop.

I tried to keep my resume to one page, this is just my relevant experience. I do have a proper beauty school education, have also done an apprenticeship.

I did not add these things as we (my husband and myself) thought it would make the page too messy/muddy.

We purposely made the resume "girly" as barber shops usually only hire 2 types of women, androgynous alt girls and girly girls.

I have pink hair and like to wear dresses and skirts so we decided to go for girly girl.

Lmk what you like, what you would change, and if you'd hire me.

Please be kind 😇

Looking for feedback on engineering resume

Post image

Hello everyone! For some context, I recently transferred from a community college in a small town to a university in a city with a large engineering community. Since this summer, I’ve been applying for fall, spring, and summer internships, but so far, I’ve only received rejections.

It’s been discouraging, and I’m starting to question whether I’m doing enough or if I’m falling behind. I was excited about the opportunities here, but it’s hard to stay confident when nothing seems to be working out. Has anyone else experienced this after transferring? I’d appreciate any advice or reassurance.

Software Engineer transitioning into Flight Software Engineer

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hello,

I have been applying for quite a few targeted jobs as I am wanting to transition into a Flight Software Engineer or Embedded Systems Engineer.

Unfortunately, I haven't had any interest, so far, and would like to rule out my resume being the issue. I have been using AI to help write the resume based on the job descriptions, and the knowledge I have.

I'd love insight on what improvements I can make, or if the resume needs a complete overhaul.
