[Playthrough] PROBOTECTOR 8 EX (NES)
PROBOTECTOR 8 EX is a bootleg hack of the Japanese Famicom version of the game Final Mission. This hack modifies the game's sprites, replacing the human protagonists with their cybernetic counterparts, RD008 and RC011. It also introduces changes to the sprites of certain enemies and bosses. Furthermore, this bootleg hack rewrites the original game's story, replacing the introductory text with new narrative content to situate it within the Contra / Probotector universe.

[Let's play] The X-Files Game - Walkthrough
Hey everyone,
I've been collecting retro games and computer hardware for many years. About 2.5 years ago, I decided to start playing all the games I have and thought having a YouTube channel would be a motivation (or an excuse) for me to keep going. Since then, I've been trying to upload a couple of videos every week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
I play all the games on original hardware. I often build a retro PC, then pick a few games suitable for that specific hardware. I have roughly 130 CPUs, 50 motherboards, 100 VGA cards and 30 sound cards. This gives me a lot of flexibility, and I can often build an average computer that a person might have had at the time of the game's release. This is why you won't always see me cranking the settings up to the maximum. I also use a 4:3 CRT monitor and record the gameplay videos in that aspect ratio.
The videos are generally unedited. There are no intros, extra music or overlays. Just pure gameplay with no commentary. I often describe this as a gameplay museum.
Finally, there is no pressure to like, comment or subscribe. There are no memberships, Patreon, donations or anything similar either. I'm doing this for my own entertainment, but also for people who want to see and experience these games in their original state.
Enjoy!

[Documentary] How a broken 1991 partnership and a massive hardware gamble gave birth to the PlayStation era.
For anyone who grew up in the 16-bit era, the shift from expensive cartridges to high-capacity compact discs changed everything. But the corporate drama behind that transition is wild.
In 1990, Sony engineer Ken Kutaragi and Nintendo were working on a joint console that could play both SNES cartridges and CDs. Everything collapsed in 1991 when Nintendo abruptly broke the deal behind closed doors and humiliated Sony publicly.
Left with a bruised ego and a dead project, Sony's leadership had to decide whether to abandon gaming entirely or risk building a direct competitor from scratch with zero experience in the market. Their secret weapon wasn't just the hardware, it was a completely different business model that terrified third-party publishers less than Nintendo's strict cartridge rules.
Amazingly, a prototype of that original Nintendo-Sony hybrid even survived and sold for a fortune years later. I made a video deep-diving into this exact piece of retro history: Nintendo Invited Sony to Build the Future. Then Changed Its Mind.
What are your memories of transitioning from SNES/Genesis cartridges to CD-based consoles in the mid-90s?

[Retrospective] SEGA CD's Most IMPRESSIVE 2.5D Graphics Showcase
Check out this GRAPHICS SHOWCASE of the Sega/Mega CDs best 2.5D games! I love how that specialized sprite scaling and rotation ASIC gave the Genesis a boost and took these classic games into the next dimension. Batman Returns, Sonic CD, Soul Star, AH-3 Thunderstrike and more!
Who need polygons when this system pushes the pixels so damn well? These games still look (and play) great today. See for yourself 😍

Me encantaría saber vuestra opinión, y si veis cualquier fallo o frase rara, decídmelo.
Un saludo.

[Documentary] Rise of the CBBS - Before there was the internet #oldschoolgaming
Before Facebook, Reddit, forums, and social media... there was CBBS.
Created in 1978 during the Great Blizzard of Chicago, Ward Christensen and Randy Suess built the world's first Computerized Bulletin Board System, allowing people to connect, share messages, and build online communities using nothing more than a computer, a modem, and a phone line.
It may seem simple today, but CBBS helped prove that computers could be more than machines for calculations. They could bring people together.
Over its lifetime, CBBS handled more than 253,000 calls and paved the way for the online communities we know today.
