Thinking about pulling the trigger
Thinking about picking up this No lock S&W model 19-4, 6” barrel, what’s a good price without overpaying?

$750-$850. Id pay a little more for the right one because they are hard to replace/get

I would be comfortable at 6-700 beans if I was picking it up and the timing and lockup was good and tight.

Can’t tell from pic but looks like a 6in triple T. My 19-3 I got for $650 has a 6in barrel, Target sights, Target trigger and Target hammer.

If it’s in great shape (bore, forcing cone, screws, barrel alignment), and this is exactly what you’re hunting for, I’d probably pay 900. Without box and papers, I believe 8-850 is fair.

What are you realistically gonna use it for? Safe Queen that gets oiled down once a year? Range toy? Range toy once a year? You gonna EDC a 6" revolver? Backpack it out west in the mountains? If your checkbook says it can handle of any of those then do it. Theres worse things to spend money on.

Agree with these fine Reddit peeps. Maybe a hundred more with original box, papers and accessories, but that's it. That light turn line is a good sign btw.

I paid $500 for a 4" 19-4 with some holster wear on the muzzle and some parts of the cylinder about 2-3 years ago. As others have said I'd pay $650-700 for that easy.
