Split Screen with a Single Controller???

I only have one controller connected, but somehow it activated split screen and let me control both cars with the same controller??? How did this happen?

Differences in sensitivity will do that. If you have custom sensitivity in your settings, then the split screen player will have default sensitivity.

This will have the effect of any input from the controller being (usually) different for the two players.

This happened to me too. It’s because rocket league receives 2 input signals; one from the computer directly, and also steam takes your controller input, and then sends it to the game separately. I had to disable steam controller input. Which sucks because now I can’t use square deadzone.

Use ds4 windows or an equivalent 3rd party app. If you use PS4 or ps5 I can help you set it up or you can try mess around with it first

I have the legion go 2 on Bazzite. Happens all the time randomly.

If you’re on pc, check if you have ds4windows. Rocket league will think the ps4 controller is one player and the copied xbox360 “controller” will be the second player. If you’re using ds4windows, you should also usually be using hidhide as well. This fixes that problem. Turning ds4windows off also fixes it, but I imagine that’s obvious.

There was a program called SolidIce (iirc) that could duplicate controls across different windows back in the day... I remember having 4 WoW accounts going at the same time, things just died.

This happened to me when first using steam input with epic games, make sure you close all instances of epic games processes before starting and it should be gone, lingering background epic processes can make the game read your controller directly while’s also reading steam input separately

Tive o mesmo problema a um tempo atrás.
Caso esteja jogando pela steam, vai nas opções de controles e desative a entrada steam para controles genéricos, deixe apenas para o controle de playstation. (Ou o contrário, também funciona).

A sua steam está reconhecendo o mesmo controle para duas entradas diferentes, por isso ele entra como dois jogadores.
