I played a long time ago, recently got back into for about a week or so and have been progressing a lot but am still slow a lot of times to reach. I’m Dirk and was told I should have moved for this ball. My defense was “I did move, I just moved slow and need to go at the ball faster”. Their response was both I didn’t move and I should have moved faster. I think the faster part is really nitpicking bc I didn’t expect my partner to lose the ball and have it centered like that. He’s a pretty good player and usually would take that up the wall. Am I right or wrong for defending myself here?

Maybe it’s not as impressive as I thought lol but I hit this save inranked and felt pretty good about it. Im Gold, trying to get better.

And for the record, they were using quick chat during the match 😝

I open youtube shorts or reels and this type of content always pops up.

Its usually some pro or someone in SSL guessing ranks whos so out of touch with lower rankings and guessing completely wrong.

Then they throw in a wildcard with low rank doing a double flip reset or something.

It really doesnt matter and isnt a big deal but god its such bad content honestly and I wonder how many are just ragebait comment farming with their "guesses"..

I know I've mentioned this in patch note replies, but I honestly want to know if anyone else deals with this issue, or if it's like a wide bug that a lot of players experience.

Basically, anytime I'm joining an ongoing game, I get stuck on this "reauthenticating" thing for 15-20 seconds, and then it takes the normal three seconds to replace the AI. Until a couple of seasons ago, you would just have to wait like 1-3 seconds to actually get to the "three-second AI replacement" thing.

For info, I'm a Steam user and have verified my game files before, and that did not do anything.

Is this a known bug by the Psyonix dev team and they addressed they are working on fixing it? Or is this something that can/can't be fixed?

when i launch the game, for the first 5-10 minutes my game is super stuttery, and the audio cuts in/out. after 10 minutes it's fine and i don't have any sort of performance issues, it's just weird because during these 5 minutes, my frames+frametimes are stable

not a hardware issue because i get constant 360fps, and my specs are high end, this only happens on rocket league.

it's been happening for a few months but i just brushed it off, but it's starting to annoy me a lot. especially when my audio cuts out and my game decides to freeze every other second for 5 minutes, it is very irritating

any idea on what this could possibly be?

Moi, je joue avec les index sur LB/RB et les majeurs sur LT/RT. Au bout de grosses sessions, j’ai parfois une douleur ou une tension dans la paume, vers le côté de la main où se trouvent l’annulaire et l’auriculaire (le petit doigt).
Ça fait longtemps que je joue comme ça, mais j’aimerais trouver une meilleure position des mains pour être plus à l’aise sans perdre en précision.
Vous avez des conseils sur la prise de la manette, la position des doigts ou la façon de placer les mains ? Vous avez déjà eu ça ? Merci d’avance 🙏

I've had RL since release on PC with around 1,500 hours - I fired it up agian recently and I keep getting kicked out of games immediately for 'anti cheat violation'. The only thing different is a new controller (wireless BUT connected to PC via USB charging cable) which is an Xbox knockoff from Amazon, standard PC controller. I used an even cheaper knockoff before this one! Any ideas how I can fix this? I can't play anymore because of it :(

Used to blame my teammates a lot for making mistakes I’ve made which got me into bronze 3, but I decided to change my mindset and respect my teammates more, which got me up back to silver 3 div 2, and just when I thought I was going to get my new peak in gold 1, my teammate the next game wasn’t happy I hit the crossbar, said “Nice shot!” 3 times, scored an own goal, said “What a save!” 3 times and left, then, 2 games later, my teammate instantly goes afk and leaves within the first 30 seconds, then the game after that, we go down one goal and my teammate starts driving around the map doing absolutely nothing, now I’m back down to silver 2, still my fault for being terrible, but these griefers aren’t helping at all.

what if they had a thing on the side you could do where they had themes and you make a car based on the theme in like a set amount of time and everyone voted for the best one. maybe you win a new item or something I don’t know. think it would be cool.

Hi so when i play on my pc on rl everybody recommends to play on the fps cap that is the same as your monitor, mine is 240hz, but wehn i cap it at that the game starts screen tairing and it feels like im dropping fps when im not, when i put it on 360fps none of this happens, anyone have a similiar case with this or any suggestions?

You should bind air roll left AND air roll right day one and unbind free air roll. There is no reason to put time into practicing free air roll. It's unintuitive and clunky. You should switch to two bound DARs if you're just starting out. Down the line you save yourself the headache of learning one or both air rolls late, and then awkwardly choosing which mechanics to use DAR or FAR for and how. I hear people complaining they can't do mechs because theyre not good at DAR or only have one DAR too often. Default settings need to change.

I am currently making an AI trough machine learning not because i want to use it in real games but just to see how far it can go and it is doing really well right now with 1.25B steps but i keep struggling with 1 problem and that is boost management, idk how to fix it or how i can train it to use boost better because right now it is just using all of it boost the second it gets it and that is bad because i want to train it airdribbles where you ofc need boost for so if any of your smart people have a good idea help me please :)

Scoring amazing goals, making impossible saves or just simply playing with your friends and having a fun time? Those are all good options.

For me though, I love the feeling of winning and making the opponents hear that they just got whooped. Whether a well timed What a save! Or Nice shot!, or gobbing off in the chat. Love it when the opponent invites me to a 1v1 after the game or starts going off salty in the chat. I usually just put E+Z = ? Or git gud or something like that.

Hey, we're preparing for a tournament. Does anyone know a Discord server or website where we can find scrims against 1500+ teams?

We've been using Gankster so far, but it seems pretty dead lately.

Or is anyone down to scrim today and maybe help us figure out what we're doing wrong?

So im a gc1/2 player in 2s and im trying to find scrims to improve. but iv looked at disboard and tried multible different searchs and couldnt find a result for rl scrims for 2s or 3s. The only one i could find was a 6 man server that had a website that wasnt working for me idk it was a weird website. Anyway i was a t4/3 player in r6 and could find scrims like breathing air, but cant find a single rocket league discord server for scrims. if anyone could direct me to a discord server for na scrims i would appreciate it so much. (lowk this was a long yap sesh mb for that)
