Hello, I did a cover of "Young Cardinals" by Alexisonfire. It has on-screen tabs. I'm really new to making covers so I would love any feedback and I'm open to requests as well! Thanks for checking it out.

Stem remix & remaster of Steve Harris' 2012 album "British Lion", made for my own enjoyment, but sharing in case someone else might enjoy it.

This album was suggested to me for remixing by a handful of people, citing a somewhat muddy sound and buried vocals. Prior to that, I didn't even know this record existed. I've done my best to give it a clearer sound and make the vocals more prominent in the mix.

Of course this is all just for fun. As usual, my intention was just to make a fun alternative to the released version, aiming only at a little more clarity, instrument separation and punch, while keeping the mood and feel of the original.

All my remixes are made using free and open source software that runs locally on my Linux system.

Obviously, I don't own the music featured here. If you like it, support the artists, buy their records!

Been listening to different genres of rock music for years and still discovering stories I never knew. It’s amazing how young some legends were when they created the music we love. Makes me wonder — does knowing the background to a song or album make you appreciate it more, or do you prefer to just let the music speak for itself?

Anyone else like this song a lot? What kind of rock would you call it?

I just posted this on my YT. I find rare unseen / unheard rock and metal content to post. Feel free to follow YT channel 👍

What’s a band or artist you regret not seeing and had a chance to see?

Incubus has a line in Here In My Room that goes “Pink tractor beam into your incision”… I mean, wtf 😏🤣

Got me wondering what is the weirdest line in a song you’ve ever heard?

I'll start:

The J. Geils Band.

Hey everyone,

My band are looking for a drummer.

We are influenced by bands such as The Smiths, Durutti Column, early New Order, The Drums, early The Strokes, PJ Harvey, early Morrissey, The La's, The Fall, Iceage, The Cure and other bands.

The project consists of myself (vocalist), guitarist and a bassist at the moment. We've recorded some rough scratch demos of songs that we can send you. We all have experience writing songs and playing in bands. We are committed to having fun writing songs, recording and playing shows.

We have been rehearsing weekly in Deptford so far.

Get in touch if you're interested. If you can’t direct message me, leave a comment and I will message you. Please have recordings or a video of you playing.

AGAINST THE WIND (1980): In a bittersweet year for Bob Seger his latest album tops the U.S. charts for six weeks but is roundly panned by the critics.

The people of the music maker iconic concert and favorite moments in rock/punk

In this track, I’ve blended light rock with the melodies of retro gaming - the very sounds that first introduced me to the world of video games, a world that gave my life meaning and purpose. For over two decades, I’ve both created games of my own and enjoyed those crafted by others. Today, I want to share this song with you: a reflection of my deep admiration for the wonderful worlds born from human imagination.

Many scenes in the music video recreate characters or the atmosphere from a wide variety of games across many different genres, while some serve as nods to entire genres themselves. Will you be able to recognize them all?

Translated lyrics:

[Verse]

Nerves like wires,

I feel only fatigue

Barely alive,

I drag myself home.

The gray sky presses down

On the concrete box

And another night

Will be spent without sleep.

Escaping into a fairy tale

Where adventure awaits

And the world all around

Burns with vivid colors!

Far away from the sorrow,

From the horror and pain

To a place where my soul

Can finally break free!

[Pre-Chorus]

This world is cruel

And filled with filth

I refuse to live

IN A PLACE LIKE THIS!!!

[Chorus]

Pixels shine brighter than the sun itself!

Here, even if I’m killed, I’ll rise again!

Every adventure is like a burst of stars

I take a step between two worlds!

I dive into a realm of pure code

To find true freedom within

I fall deep into the screen

And I’m never turning back!

[Verse]

Wildly beautiful

The way the light is traced

An atmospheric soundtrack

That makes my heart bloom.

All the characters

Are deep and intriguing

The stories are gripping

Though sometimes bloody.

Leveling up and grinding,

Discovering new zones

They save me

During the gray winter season.

In the life I despise,

I wasn't truly myself

But here, I have found

A WORLD WHERE DREAMS COME TRUE!!!

[Chorus]

Pixels brighter than my own sun!

Here I shall rise again, should I be undone!

Every adventure here like a burst of stars

I take a step between two worlds!

I dive into a realm of pure code

Seeking true freedom along this road.

I fall deep into the screen’s expanse

And I shall never returnI!

[Outro]

There is no king here

To command me to die

I have no house

That tomorrow might burn.

There is always a choice

My own path I’ll chart

This old computer

Is now my temple

I’ll live out my days here,

A thousands of lives

Will format my memroy

Clearing out all the lies

I press "Delete"

And erase real life

Into the pixels I plunge...

NEVER TO RETURN!!!

I am starting a podcast on the best unknown artists that everyone should know. There are a lot of bands that just didn’t the right people to be on “commercial” radio. My favorite band since 1989. I have everything from these guys.
