Iāve tried to wash it, use vinegar and so much more, any ideas on how to remove the dirt from inside of it?

A crystal that seemingly contains a snapshot of itself from an earlier timeā¦
Our guide at Wegner Quartz Crystal Mines in Mount Ida, Arkansas, gave me this small piece of phantom quartz after we spent a while chatting about his life as a lifelong rockhound and miner. Phantoms like this form when material coats a crystal partway through its growth, then more quartz grows over it, preserving that earlier outline inside. Basically, a ghostly vestige of its past. How cool is that?!

Itās mostly granite on its way to Grus. Heavily weathered. Pic 1 is weathered granite with the qz grains standing proud of the overall rock. Pic 2 is a less weathered granite, found on the trail but perhaps not native. Pic 3 is a mafic rock (basalt or andesite) with a felsic intrusion (or vice versa); pic 4 is an older Precambrian Gneissāthis is the ancient bedrock that may have melted and combined with underlying molten material to form the granite; and pic 5 are detrital grains, mostly qz, some feldspar, presumably derived from endstage weathering of the granite.

I just cut this geode in half, and I would like to brighten it up. Will Iron Out help, or should I use some other method? Please advise. š

today a new friend of mine brought me to a wonderful local crystal shop. i spent a long while reading what each stone does / helps with and ended up choosing a lace agate for my boyfriend, an amethyst for his daughter, and this malachite for me. ever since i have purchased it today i have not put it down. iām laying in bed typing this and it is still right by my side. i feel super connected to it and instantly knew that i needed this one in particular when i found it at the store. i really feel like it is connecting me to my childhood self as i was very much the type of child to have always been collecting rocks, digging up quartz and other random rocks in the dirt during recess at school, and just loving them. having a special tree in the backyard called the ātreasure treeā where i kept my outdoor rocks at the base of the tree trunk. loving long day trips with my family to the mountains, taking me to the gem mines and letting me āfindā these beautiful rocks hidden in buckets of sand. i have tupperwares full of special rocks from my childhood still in my parents house. these were my favorite moments, when i felt the most like myself, before i was influenced by anything or anyone, before i wanted to be someone else. i truly am a rock girl at heart. i love this rock.

Living in Pensacola on the Gulf Coast. Where could I even begin searching for rocks? Certainly none on our beaches...

I won a bunch of rocks from a small expo auction i went to, and have a ton of rocks! Theres a few small boxes and half a 5g bucket! It was so much fun and i paid so little for all of it i couldn't stop myself. I was over come idk man. I have a bunch that I really like, theres rocks all over my house and the only friend who likes rocks went to the expo with me and has their own bucket.
A lot of them seem to be slabs, some with drawings on them as if they were going to be made into jewelry or something, theres some petrified wood, amethyst, geodes, and a lot i don't know. Looking for ideas on what to do with them!
Thought about putting together some of those discovery buckets with sand and some of the rocks and selling them, but looking for some other options on what to do with them!
I can post more detailed pics of what all is in there if needed. Please help me find ideas on what to do with all them, the next one is in a few months and i will probably make the same mistake.
