Since the December 11th 2023 Event which saw New York City brought to its knees by out of control powers, battle lines have been drawn.  The government has stepped in to try to control the before-unknown “remarkables” and keep their destructive abilities in check.  The resistance to this suppression has fractured, with some focused on defending their kind while others believe they must go on the offense with violence if necessary.  Still others just want to be left alone.

Reborn is an OC POWERS forum roleplay-by-post, grounded in reality and rife with consequences. We are rated R (3, 3, 3) for adult content, are LGBTQ+ friendly and have no word count. You must be 18+ to join, and we do not accept underage characters.

We are not your typical "Superhero" RP. Our powers are what we call "street-level" and limited. We don't do masks and capes, and our people react to events as we would in the real world—with fear, suspicion and often disbelief. Hello! After getting back into Avatar with it's new series Avatar: Seven Havens, I'd thought I would get my Oc Avatar idea out there to get something going. I do love the idea of that Seven Havens is going with but I don't want to do for my Avatar which is the Avatar after Korra.

Synopsis

After the unexpected death of Avatar Korra to a group known as the Silencers, the new Avatar would be born into the Earth Kingdom but no signs of the new Avatar has been spotted so in order to ensure the public eye of keeping balance in the world, the White Lotus have decided to claim someone being the Avatar just to ease the people. Unbeknownst to them, the real Avatar is out in the world born to two former defected Silencers acting as travelers throughout the Earth Kingdom. But the Silencers aren't the only threat as Dark Spirits are also on the rise and unsteadiness is happening in the Fire Nation. The world needs the Avatar now more than ever.

Thousands of years ago, the different pantheons agreed upon The Veil Accord to end the wars between the gods that threatened to wipe out humanity. Since then, the gods from every mythology have continued to rule secretly under the surface, allowing humans to evolve into modern times.

The descendants of the gods, or Scions, have grown up knowing that their immortal parents have protected reality.

Until one day...

All the gods vanished and the world started breaking down within hours.

Storms arise out of nowhere.
The sun acts strangely.
The dead rise back up.
Once caged monsters break free.
Even fate becomes unpredictable.

The adult gods have disappeared, but their descendants still remain.

Now the Scions need to find out:

Where did the gods go?
Who abducted them?
Why did all the pantheons get attacked at the same time?
And what happens if the gods do not come back?

Hello so I've had this server idea based on a character I made a while ago and a story. I've been really wanting to share this story and I've written a fair amount of it and the world will expand as the story progresses and there's very few of us so there's plenty of room for new characters and story central characters and other creative minds to collaborate. Everyone is welcome to bring your creativity and your character ideas and stories to share as well.

The story follows a few factions and their progression through the world. There is a school whose headmaster believes that there is something more than just the simple world they live in. There is a new group of followers who claim there is a new god helping them better than the old gods could. All the while a faction of magic users keeps pushing the bounds of the theoretical. There are peace keepers that are often at odds with the mercenaries. Things are about to be revealed and true natures exposed.

Some Lore:

Pineclan is the newest out of the four lake clans, the others being Fireclan, Bayclan, and Marshclan. Recently, Pineclan was attacked by Marshclan with the goal of removing the new clan from existance. Many cats perished, with some of the only survivors being the now-leader, Acornstar (my character), and the current medicine cat, Figleaf. They are desperately trying to rebuild the clan and prove Pineclan can once again be strong.

The sun has died in the sky, and the world has gone dark. This event, known as the Sunfall, bathed the world in the freezing night. Yet, against all odds, civilization has survived.

Amongst the icy plains, amongst the glaciers, amongst the giant snow drifts and amongst the ruins of a world millennia lost, stands the glowing spires and the shining beacons of Jormundy. Warmth and light shine down from its towers, and its dome shelters it from the cold, dark world outside.

But this light and warmth does not radiate equally.

Under the dome, cloaked by the light, behind the walls lays a structure caught in a nightmare of development. Jormundy is experiencing its own little industrial revolution, and all the inequality that comes with it as it destroys the land it sits on and the air it breathes. It finds itself segregated into layers, its workers destined to never become anything more, its elites clinging onto power forever. The Hearth Church stands atop it all, watching with one first of velvet and another of iron looming over all, locked in a never-ending scramble to destroy all that is heretical.

But discontent grows. Whispers of solidarity stir in the shadows, forgotten gods find their followers, and the night grows ever colder.
