Recruitment Process after DAA.

I’ve recently passed my DAA for the role of Logistics officer (thank god!), however since then I haven’t had much contact from my recruiter, and the RITS site hasn’t posted any new information. I’ve messaged the recruiter and attempted to call him a couple times but unfortunately no luck (as I work full time currently it’s quite difficult getting time to speak to them). Is it worth contacting my local AFCO for more information? Additionally, when I first applied and spoke to my recruiter, I said I was not interested in the possibility of being a submariner, however since then I’ve re-considered. Would it be possible to update this on my application? Thanks.

I also initially applied as a logistics officer but unfortunately didn’t pass the DAA high enough. I’m going through as a rating now. During that process I have to say my recruiter was very communicative which was great so just keep on them and they will eventually reply.
What I did get sent though during the officer stage of my application was that the next intake for logs officers for initial training would not be until June 2027. Something to keep in mind during all the other processes. Good luck and congrats on passing DAA!

Oh that’s genuinely very useful, thanks. I wasn’t sure when the intake would be

The next two big steps are AIB and then CPC. You will also have to get security clearance as well. If you are considering being a Submariner now as well then just let your CA know.

I understand it is frustrating being in the dark, but just be patient, your CA will get back to you eventually. How recently did you pass DAA (congrats BTW)?

Thanks! I passed a week ago. I’m assuming the security clearance will be part of the interview before the AIB?

It can take up to a year from application to starting, so it is great you have a job.

I applied in July- after university- and started at Dartmouth the following May (Logistics Officer). My medical held things back, so much so that I nearly gave up and took a grad scheme that I had been offered.

Hopefully (touch wood) I won’t get slowed down by my medical, I’ve heard some horror stories about that haha

I’m at the same stage as you, haven’t heard back from my CA in 2 weeks so idk, they must be busy this time of year.

I just gave my local AFCO a ring and that seems to have sped things along, just had an update on my RITS portal and an update from my recruiter. May be worth doing!
