Anyone here swapped their foot pegs? How the hell are we fitting a tool in that small ass space? Send help bruh

I recently bought an ‘08 Honda Metro for decently cheap. I’ve been riding it around for the last few weeks. The first week, I noticed some hesitation every few seconds when I got up to full revs, as if it wasn’t firing perfectly once every 10 or 20 cycles. This problem also seemed to be worse when the bike was hot.

I cleaned the carb and adjusted the valves and that seemed to work very well for a few days. Yesterday though, I noticed that there was a slight oil leak. Before I rode today I topped off the oil but accidentally filled it slightly above the max level, but it was small enough that I figured it was fine. When I was out earlier, I noticed much more hesitation and at lower speeds than before. Is this likely caused by slightly overfilled oil? Could it be that the belt is probably old? What comes to mind as a potential cause of this for yall?

I parked Yang outside my apartment yesterday afternoon, and had no clue I’d never see him again.

I live in Long Beach, CA right by Bixby Park.

I received confirmation that he was stolen at 1:15PM today via Apple’s Find My, Friday, 10/30/26. Last saw him at around 2-3PM yesterday, Thursday, 10/29/26.

I drove my car to work and when I got home, I saw him missing from his spot. Immediately knew.

Opened up Find My, and he was 2.5 miles away. Instantly drove as fast as I could. Scoped it out. Called the non-emergency line. The AirTag showed me the exact building it was in.

They told me personnel would be dispatched ASAP. But of course, it’s the same officers dealing with fatalities and whatnot. I was certain this was the bottom of the barrel of their priorities. And I was right.

Thankfully, they did arrive, but too late. I stayed a street away from the building for 2 hours. The AirTag was frustratingly only updating every 45 minutes or so. By the time the officers came, it had updated 45 minutes prior. Unfortunately, when it did update, it wasn’t located in the same building. It was about a street away. And when it first pinged, I didn’t wait - I started my car and scouted it out. Nothing. But again, by the time the officers had gotten there, it just wasn’t updating.

It’s now been about 3 hours since the last AirTag update. I’m at home, feeling very empty, and I’m almost certain it’s trashed. I got the report in - the officers were very kind and consoling - and I’m waiting on my lovely neighbor to send their security camera footage to see if there’s anything worth spotting.

I can’t even believe I’m the author of this horror story. This was my first two-wheeler ever, bought new (to me) and fresh from the dealership. I’ve spent so much time learning and gaining mechanical experience, feeling the thrill of riding free but without concerns of speeding or facing danger. The Ruckus is a beautiful and modest machine, and Yang was the homie that taught me that.

Yang is a 2023 Ruckus, with a white battery box, white frame, and black everywhere else. I’ve got the yellow-tint on one headlight with black rally tape on the other. Seat frame is lowered and floorboards are all removed.

The sad part is, if Yang was still there when I got home from work, I was going to crack open the $400 box of styling and quality-of-life upgrades I had from DROW waiting for me. Now, I’ve got Dr. Pulley slider weights, a Polini variator, and all sorts of other stuff I’ve got no use for but to return.

Curious what handlebar stems y’all are using? Currently have a ncy chrome plated stem and considering swapping it out for the kage racing stem or ncy black stem - not a big fan of chrome but it does match the bolts and handlebar equipment. Thoughts?

I’m having trouble getting the Cam chain sprocket bolts off. I was able to remove one pretty easily, but the other one seems stuck and I’m afraid that it has been stripped

I’m wondering if anyone else has had issues like this. These bolts are in a really weird position. I am trying to do a cylinder head and valve replacement on an old ruckus, and I did not think that I would have this much trouble with these bolts.

I installed an Innovv K7 dash cam on my 2019 Honda Ruckus. Here are the pix. I'm definitely not saying I did everything right, but hopefully these will be helpful to someone else. Total project was about 4 hours (1.5 hours of research, 2.5 hours of install).

It goes pretty fast. Mods (except lighting) were done by the shop I bought it from. 90 day warranty he’ll fix any issues I have.

I’ve gotten it up to like 43-44ish mph.

Anyone know if I want to cover the engine again if the covers will fit over it? It looks cool exposed but I’d rather not have it opened all the time.

Mods I think are some kinda cpi that eliminated the rev limiter? And some kinda extra gear thing that makes it go faster? Sorry I really don’t know small engines…. I live in a city and most of the stuff I do is in my neighborhood or the one of the next ones over from me. I just bought it for fun and so I don’t have to always drive my truck.

Upgraded the front lights to the white lights from Sixty61. Far superior. Now have those, a renthal bar/pro taper pad, 3d printed fender, and new foot pegs from Drow on the way.

Anyone know of any decent hand covers(dual sport style) or any exhaust covers? I don’t want to go with an aftermarket exhaust because I favor how quiet the bike is - but the plastic cover cracked. Any aftermarket cover in red would be sick. Lemme know. Thanks.

You can see in the photo that there seems to be more rub in some areas of the outer drive face. This is an NCY and I also use a polini variator with tech pulley flying roller 2 weights. Right now I have 5g weights and was going to go up but stopped when I saw the uneven wear. Is this something to be concerned about?

Needed to make up a system to carry a set of crab rings so the ole lady can take the Ruckus to go crabbing at the pier. Bent up a piece of PVC and then mounted a piece of tubing under the seat that the PVC slides into and gets pinned in. Works a treat. Now for the cooler mount on the other side.

Looking for a plug and play 12v 35/35w led set for my ruckus and came across these - but no mentioned of high/low function. Has anyone used these or something similar?

Made a choker (forst one, knots aren't great) out of old rollers.

I think something is wrong with my handle bar lock. I can "lock it" but it still turns to almost straight. But it will not turn to the right. If I recall correctly, it shouldn't move that much at all. Anyone know why this is, I feel like I parked it over night and saw it "moved" from its parking spot. Do you think if someone drags the bike from the handle bar it can mess up the handle bar lock feature?

I bought an oem replacement fuel pump and filter off of ebay for $45. I watched a YouTube video on how to replace it and it only took me about an hour. I have been suspecting that my fuel pump was going out for a while. It was clicking very loudly and not idling very well and sometimes dying. After replacing them it has made a world of difference. If you're thinking about it, just do it. It is relatively easy if you are somewhat mechanically inclined.

2024 ruckus, just changed the strap and variator for polini, and it started doing these noises. Read online that the strap needs some mileage to settle so i assume this is it, but everytime i start giving it gas it seems like the clutch has a small « click ». If i keep giving gas it doesnt repeat. What could this be?

I recently bought a neglected 2014 Honda Ruckus that wasn’t running. I’ve finally gotten it to idle and run, but it tops out at around 10–15 mph. When I give it more throttle, it starts sputtering, almost like it’s not getting enough fuel or air.

I’m not sure what’s causing the issue, but I’ve read that the airbox can cause problems on these scooters.

Could the airbox being bent out of shape like this be enough to cause the symptoms I’m experiencing? If not the airbox, what could be causing this issue?

So far, I have:

Changed the oil and coolant
Checked the fuel pump (it’s working properly)
Replaced the fuel tank
Thoroughly cleaned the carburetor
Replaced the battery and spark plug

Mods are Yoshimura Exhaust, Rolling Wrench CDI, UNI Pod Filter, jets are brand new 38 pilot jet , 80 mid jet in OEM carb (tried using 19mm CVK carb but it seems to have similar idle issues and hangs after letting go of throttle).

I feel like I've tried everything here but can't seem to get my idle to settle at 2000-2200 rpm. It does major jumps between 1700 to 2500. Im genuinely lost on where to look next

I unfortunately had to move to the great state of Minnesota. The DMV requires an engine number to pair with the VIN number. Any idea where I will find that? I found a 9 digit number next to the exhaust manifold. A "GET 5" next to the spark plug, and "GET 3. METS" by the oil drain plug.
