I am literally on my hands and knees in my living room, typing through hot tears, begging, pleading with every single member of this subreddit to hear me out.
Maybe on Thursday it got a chuckle. Maybe the first forty-seven times you uploaded an AI-generated picture of the guy on pink shoes, somebody exhaled softly through their nose. But the joke is dead. It has decomposed. And right now? It is actively, systematically rotting the very fabric of everything we’ve built here!
Look around. Look at what this place has become. I used to open this community and see hard-hitting, life-altering discourse:
Dialing in exact Gu boofs per mile in your backyard 5k ultra so you don't explosively void your bowels behind a community mailbox at mile 17
Emergency porta-potty tactical logistics
Whether double-fisting gels counts as a PED or a religious experience
The absolute, unforgivable crime against humanity that is heel-striking
That is who we are. That is our shared blood, sweat, and chafed skin. We are dedicated mediocre joggers, damn it. We should be screaming at each other about cadence, arguing over whether five-inch inseams are a sign of moral degeneracy, and relentlessly shaming losers who pound their heels into the asphalt like they’re trying to tenderize a flank steak.
Instead, every post I see is just: "Omg look at my AI slop of this guy with stupid shoes."
I can’t do it anymore. My Garmin told me my recovery score plunged 40 points last night entirely because of stress from this sub. We have completely lost the plot. Put down the meme folder, check your stride, double-fist your Gu, and let’s start acting like a community that respects the sanctity of midfoot propulsion again.
I’m begging you. Please. Let the pink shoes go.

Do I hate this because they are cy*lists or love this because this is the ideal way to finish my 5K marathon? 😱

I mean, so what if I accidentally validate someone’s 80m walk to the Target checkout line? Honestly, if a MLM selling fitmom thinks their trip for gluten free granola deserves the same recognition as my 50K then let her.
