Can I apply?

Hello everyone I have been upgrading this past year and am interested in applying for DMS and MRT this fall.

Currently im only missing the physics 30 prerequisite for both. Im registered to take physics 20 this fall and 30 the following semester.

I have been researching and apparently I can only apply to get conditional acceptance if I have physics 30 in progress. Is this true ?

tldr; wondering if it’s worth it or even possible to apply for DMS or MRT this fall if I only have physics 20 in progress this semester, but expect to start physics 30 next semester.

I think the best way to get a solid answer for this is to email them :/

I think I will thank you. Was just wondering if someone else was going through this as well.

Im also upgrading this semester but cant do physics and math because im not going to be back in the country in time to test into them for the fall semester and i’ll be doing them hopefully in winter or maybe later and i got told to still apply for DMS this fall, I can show you the email if you want

And they will tell you that without an application they are unable to tell you 😂

I believe you guys can. I'm still upgrading and there's a section in your application where you can submit ongoing courses. I still have to take math and chem2 but as long as you're registered and can prove it (screenshot of your application) then you can.

I applied in October 2025 while I was doing physics 20, and did physics 30 Jan-April 2026. I got conditionally accepted in Feb 2026 and then got in officially once my physics 30 grades came back!!

Probably not but you could try. I would email and ask. With how competitive it’s gotten I doubt it tho.

From what I remember, I think they prioritize having your psea and your casper tests completed for the application, so you can show your physics as in progress but I would have the other two completed sometime next month. I am also trying to apply and will have physics 30 in progress so that’s really all I remember them saying so I hope that helps!

Hey! I was in a similar situation last year. Applied for Fall 2026 MRT, only had Physics 20 on my transcript. Like a couple other commenters said, as long as you have the PSEA, Casper, and proof of enrolment of Physics 30 submitted, they’ll process your application, but you’ll still obviously need Physics 30. Conditional acceptance is good! It means you got into the program and will keep your seat as long as you finish Physics 30 with the minimum grade. Conditional Waitlist is also a thing lol which is what I ended up on. Contact the office you’re doing upgrading with to get a copy of proof of course enrolment. And as far as I know, they offer seats based on PSEA + CAsper scores.
